BEWARE! BEWARE! Click on âpricingâ reviews and look at all the comments! H20 came to my house to fix two shower problems and didnât fix either one of them and charged me $553 to do it. đł
I called them out for two showers. One didnât have ANY water coming out of the hot water side. The other shower had a bad leak/ or leaks. To make their call easier, I cut out the walls so they could see the plumbing from the other side. Save me time and money, was the plan. A very failed plan!! The licensed âplumberâ took on the job of, no water coming out of the faucet. He first checked my electric to the hot water tank. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY FIRST SIGN! Then he was checking the hot water tanks electrical. I told him, we have hot water everywhere, but we didnât have ANY water coming out of the faucet. Side note, I had watched a 15 second YouTube video that told me it was something with the faucet but for me, I needed a professional to fix the faucet, hence I call the plumber. After an hour and a half, he told me it was the faucet and that he couldnât fix it. He said I needed a whole new shower set up and that would be close to $1,200. đłđłđłđł I told him, I couldnât do that right now. During the time he was wasting on that shower, I went to help the âjourneymanâ with the leaking issue. I had to ask him if he wanted me to turn on the shower so he could see and he said yes. SHOULD HAVE BEEN SIGN NUMBER TWO!! He said he found the leak and started working on it at the head of the shower. They turned back on the water and it was still leaking. The âplumberâ said they found another leak. He then told me it was coming from the faucet, and that it would cost me up to $1,200 to fix that one as well. đłđłđłđł I was stunned. I said, so neither problem is fixed today and he said no. I told him to get me an estimate and send it to me, and I would see about what we could do. He then went and figured out the cost of not fixing my two showers. He came back in later, and told me it was going to be $553.00 for not fixing either shower. I was not happy, and told him that they didnât fix either problem. He told me he âdiagnosedâ the problem with one shower. And that they fixed a leak in the other. Then I said, but itâs still leaking. The problem I wanted you to fix, you didnât fix. I went ahead and paid the bill with a credit card so I could dispute it. I knew I was going to call the owner and let him know, I received the worst plumbing service of my 55 year life. So I spoke with the owner, and he told me that it basically was a one person job and that he was sorry and would re-figure the bill. I asked him how much and he didnât answerâŠ.. SHOULD HAVE BEEN SIGN 24!! The company then credits back a little over $150. So the new charge was $395 or so for fixing neither problem I was having. He also told me that he would order the new faucet part for each faucet but he would install them for nothing. I just had to pay the parts cost, and he said that was around $90 each. BUT, if I wanted him to do the work it would be another week before he could get to it. đł
You ready for this?????? I called another plumber. He walked in and in 6 minutes he had the one shower completely fixed, with hot and could water coming out full blast.
He then went to the leaky shower and in two minutes showed me the leakâŠâŠ. AND IT WASNT EVEN THE FAUCET!!! đ€Żđ€Ż It was an easy fix!!
H20 told me âthey wanted rightâ. Since then, they havenât credited back any money, and wonât respond to anymore of my texts. Worst plumbing experience of my life, and second place is faaaaaarrrrrrrr away!!! Horrendous service!
BEWARE! BEWARE!! Because their $115 service call for an hour, sounds pretty good. They will smile and be real nice. Then when your bill is $553 and youâre trying to find a place to fix your plumbing when they leave!!!
Lastly, I called 3 places to have the entire shower system replaced with the exact same hardware, and was quoted$600-$695 fully installed and guaranteed.
UPDATE: The H20 response is 10% true. The service they give is about 10% as well but will...
Read morePaid $600 across two visits July 8 and July 22 for what turned out to be a temporary fix. Very disappointing. Be sure to remind them to bring a camera scope ahead of time, or youâll risk paying for another visit. They only have a few scopes, so unless you get lucky, they might show up without the proper equipment to diagnose the problem during the first appointment.
UPDATE: to Fredâs response
Fred, letâs clarify the situation:
My father declined the camera scope during the first visit because it wouldâve required a second visit. On the second visit (July 22), he declined the scope again but only because your team showed up without it.
You didnât tell me the scope wasnât available until after I spoke with my dad, who explained he only declined because the tech didnât have it on-site. When I called you back and told you that, then you admitted your team was short on scopes, only three for all your trucks. Thatâs fine. Whatâs not fine is acting like the customer just refused the service without giving the full story.
Letâs be real: you shouldâve had the scope with you on the FIRST visit. But you didnât and thatâs by design. You know a scope is NECESSARY to identify the problem, and by not bringing it initially, it guarantees youâll need a second visit. Thatâs not accidental. Thatâs a business tactic. You even said, âI know how it sounds butâŠâ exactly, Fred. You DO know how it sounds.
I actually liked your team at first. But the way you respond to critical reviews tells me everything I need to know. Instead of taking responsibility, you spin the blame. Thatâs not how you build trust.
Oh and by the way my sink? Still not fixed since your last visit on the 22nd.
Great service, huh?
Fred,
Maybe consider taking a class or two in business ethics or customer care. Or at the very least, a refresher on accountability. Might help next time you want to gaslight a customer about something as simple as not bringing the...
