P2 Furniture and More — Local services in Elizabeth City

I went into the store to pick up a package that was shipped to me from Wish. There was an employee on the sales floor that addressed me as soon as I stepped through the door. I told her why I was there, my transaction was complete and I was walking out in less than 5 minutes. The were no other customers in the store when I went in. That said, I have been in this store a few times but only to pick up shipped packages. I've never purchased anything from this store directly and probably never will. In fact, if it were not for the store being a shipping point, I would never go in there simply because some years ago they had a job posted in the newspaper for a sales person at this store. The person who I spoke to was outwardly racist. This is going back probably 15 years ago. Now, the lady who helped me with my package is African American so maybe there are different people managing the store now but that experience was enough for me to know i would not spend my money here nor would I recommend the store to anyone. I am honestly not sure why this store has such great reviews. I can only assume it has changed drastically in the past year. went in the other day and there are hardly any clothes and the household merchandise is sparse. It’s mainly a furniture store.
