I have been a member of this Lodge for over 3 years now. Hubby and I will take our Camper there for a weekend of pure enjoyment and not having to worry about driving home after a night of fun.
A beautiful lodge with live music nearly every Weekend as well as the best Karaoke around on Saturday nights. This lodge is active in the community and there's always something going on. The bar area features a large horseshoe bar and large area with tables and a stage in the corner. They also offer a huge banquet room for private parties. Out back you will walk across a very large grassy area to the Watauga River, enjoying the geese and squirrels. They have recently added about 6 camper spots. These are with electric hookup and possibly water...not sure on that. I believe they charge $25 per night. Please check for yourself, however. They can accommodate more RV/Campers, but if you want a hookup, keep this in mind. Please call them and inquire. You'll be...

They have a yearly trout tournament for the children, Easter Egg Hunt, help with the retired military, nursing scholarship, children's Christmas program and much much more. It is not just a local bar although that is what supports the lodge and lodge charities. You do have to be a member but can visit 4 times with a member anytime and Friday Nights there is always entertainment. Occasionally, other nights and during ballgames. I know the employees and some officers, there is a lot of dedication and hard work that goes into everything they do. FYI, I am not a member but have always been treated as such. As far as the comment about refusing service because of ID, Alcohol Beverage Commission sets rules and there is laws on what types of ID's are acceptable and valid. They have to do their jobs and can be fined and put on probation...
Read moreMembers only bar, but its open to the public certain nights. It's a cheap place to go hang out on a Friday night. LOVE that its one of the few smoker friendly places left. They usually have a live band on Fridays. Alcohol is cheap compared to other bars, bartenders are decent. No food really, but since it's in town you can get a pizza delivery service to bring a pizza. Clean little place, not a lot of fights or trouble makers. It is on the Watauga river, they have some nice seating areas out back with scenic views of the river and a fire pit. My only complaints and why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it does still retain the ambiance of a 80's-1990's era bar. The bands rarely play anything outside of the old "classic" country and a small amount of old rock genre. There is no entertainment at all on Saturdays so the place is dead, normally just a dozen or so die hard regulars there to drink and talk...because there's really nothing else...
