I had my hair done here and I 10/10 do not recommend
I asked for my top pic hair style and the stylist told me no, she refuses to do it ans told me it was because it was a bridal style and I wasn't a bride. So, I showed her my three other options and she refused the first two and wouldn't say why and she finally agreed to do my fourth option (that I really didn't want because it was such a basic and simple style that I can and have done it myself)
She told me that she was capable of doing that style and it involved curling the hair. She had her curling iron already heated and decided to unplug it and wait for the straightener to warm up. As she was trying to curl my hair with the straightener, she wasnt even doing small sections or a tight wrap (the reference image was literally just a half ponytail that had small, tighy curls) so my hair wouldn't curl at all because she was using a straightener, big strands, and loosly draping my hair around the straightener.
She eventually told me that my hair isn't cooperating with her so she's just going to do whatever and hope it turns out okay before my scheduled appointment is over. (First of all this is my prom, I don't want "hoping" it'll look "okay" and secondly if we're paying for this do your damn job).
She also left my bangs sticking straight up in the air and i kept telling her she'd have to use the straightener to curl the bangs under themselves and she kept telling she knew what she was doing and i didn't know what I was talking about because she went to school for this (like yes I know nothing about how to style my own hair that I've fixed everday since I was 5, the only reason I came here was for a more complexed style). I asked her to just hand me the curler and straightener so I could do it myself and she refused again claiming to know what she's doing.
She then said she'd style my hair into a bow and I told her that'd be cute and if she can manage that we'll call this a fair experience and she decided against it
She tried to blame the whole experience on the fact that I washed my hair the day before. (Keep in mind that this was my first hair styling appointment and no one had the decency to inform me that you're not supposed to wash your hair the day before but regardless for 18 yrs I've washed my hair daily and styled my hair daily and never have I as an untrained nonprofessional had any issues with not being able to curl my hair or straighten my bangs so please tell me why a trained professional couldn't do it other than the fact that she wanted to be lazy)
So I left with my bangs standing straight up and my hair with crease marks in it from the straightener and ended up having to go home and do it myself, making me late for my prom. But guess what? I went home and was able to curl my hair and straighten my bangs so again, why could a trained professional not do...
Read moreWORST SALON EXPERIENCE EVER!!. Absentee owner with no regard for the customers. I've never given a bad review before, but this salon and the owner are so bad that I just had to. I went for a root touch up and hair cut. The girl assigned to me was very nice, but completely unqualified. My roots were dyed with hit and miss coverage in the wrong color. It looked like a patchwork striped quilt. I had to sit through a second dye application which was not good for my hair, but I had no choice. When she started cutting my hair, I sat quietly while she SLICED through my hair with scissors with no rhyme or reason. She didn’t cut it. She ran the blades of the scissors down the length of my hair and shred it leaving 8” or more lengths of hair on the floor. I had a lot of long health highlighted hair when I went in. After stopping her a few times to ask how she was going to even it out and a huge pile of my hair on the floor, a second stylist took over to try and make it as passable as possible with what was left on my head. After 4 hours, I left with what would result in a rats tail of frizzy thin hair that is completely uneven. Even a ponytail can’t hide it since the front is also all uneven on both sides of my head. My hair is completely thinned out and frizzy with damage. I have made every attempt to contact the owner and give her the chance to try and correct the damage to my hair. She refused to even call me back. She had the girl who works there, who does not even do hair, play messenger clerk. The best she could offer was an appointment 3 weeks later. The owner only comes into the store 2 days a week. She couldn’t find half an hour in her busy life but I had to travel for the holidays to see family with this ridiculous hair. I spent 4 hours in her shop. Had my hair ruined. Paid $160 plus a $20 tip and left feeling badly for the very sweet but unskilled girl they set to work on my hair. The manager tells you they are all highly skilled professionals and...
Read moreI’ve been in there 2 times. The first time was for a trim and I had nowhere else to go. It was decent but I definitely could have gotten a better job done somewhere else. That hairstylist no longer even works there. I also can’t stant at the end of the appointment how they pressure you into buying the products they used on you and set you up with another apponemt. Ill call and make one or come back if i need one. I then recommend to a friend to go there because she was interested in cutting her hair and making a drastic change. She wanted 12 inches off and instead Aubrey took off 18-20 inches. (No joke) She didn’t listen and was extremely rude to us. Some of my friends hair was uneven. It was honestly the worst experience. While I was just there for moral support the manager Tiffany comes up to me and proceeds to ask me when I’m coming in to get my hair done. Tiffany knows me personally. I never get my hair colored there. I had a hairdresser and besides that one trim I got I’ve never been there. I had just gotten my hair previously done the day before and she expressed to me the blonde didn’t look good and it was too brassy. This was to my face! I’m sorry if you don’t like my hair but do not say that to my face when your a manager of a salon. Is that how you get businesses by cutting down other hairstylists work? I personally love my hair and that will forever upset me. My friend and I left extremely upset. I will never go back after that and neither will my friend. They only good hairstylist they had was Chelsea and now she’s gone too. This place is filled with high...
