Ok folks this is a long one....
The owner should be ashamed.
Honestly I am seriously trying to figure out how this remodeled pizza hut, "steak house" has 4 stars. Walked in to sagging ceiling tiles, where the dust covered A/C return grills are above the wait station. Waited 5 minutes for a table while the waitresses decided who got us, (we got the wrong one.) ..There was one other family in there.... Finally, sat down but had to wait another couple minutes for menus. The bread was decent. 3 of us and 3 rolls. As we had been waiting for a while, my family and I dug in. Once done with the bread and we finally got the opportunity to order our food I asked for another basket of bread. Our waitress informed us they were out. (Saw them bringing more out to others as we sat and waited) Looked through the menu and ordered the blooming onion that we heard was better than Outback's...not so much a blooming onion as under fried onion mush with zero seasoning. Played it safe with a 6 ounce sirloin with mashed potatoes and the side salad that I asked to come out before the meal (as did my wife)..... It all came together. The mashed potatoes were cold and the gravy was boiling. ..Kinda balanced out maybe?.. I have never left a steak on a table... I did tonight, as did my wife. The kid had chicken strips, as usual. She told me that they were hard and tasted bad. The next time we saw the waitress she brought the check. Zero times did she check for refills throughout the meal. Had to flag down others to get that. 4 stars is a lie on here. Do not believe it. 4 stars for this area maybe... it was complete garbage
Oh yeah, for the owner. It is Easter Sunday. Called and they told us that "we're open until 9." At 6:30 pm my "waitress" was busy pushing people that were trying to come in out of the door telling them that they were closing early.
(sorry for any misspelled words or grammar issues....
Read moreI originally had given this place a 5 star because of the experience I had last week. The buffalo wings were pure perfection. I had vowed to go back again. Well, I went back as I said I would. I had to have those wings. I ordered the buffalo wings same as last time. When they came out they had barbecue on them. No problem the waitress took them back to get the correct ones. When they came out they looked unusual. The color was darker than normal buffalo wings. The taste was off as well. They tasted sweet. There was no buffalo flavor. It tasted like a mix of barbecue sauce and buffalo sauce. I was convinced the cook rinsed off the barbecue sauce, dropped them back in the fryer and then tried to cover with buffalo sauce. I even asked the waitress if that is what happened. She denied. I gave them a second taste and the taste was too odd for me and I could not eat them. I told the waitress I did not like the taste of them and that they did not taste like buffalo wings. Nothing close to the ones I had last week. She took the whole plate away. When the meal was complete, I got the bill and the wings were still on it. I thought it was an oversight so I brought this to the waitress's attention. She said the cook said he would not be taking them off the bill simply because I did not like them even though they had already been thrown out by waitress. It was shocking. What kind of place had this poor of a customer service. I genuinely came back to this establishment for the wings and service . I thought I had found a new local hot spot. I was wrong.... In the end, I was adamant about not paying for them with no intention on budging. The waitress returned to the kitchen to try and CONVINCE the cook to remove them. After fifteen minutes of us sitting there waiting, she finally returned and took them off. I won't...
Read moreI have gone to this restaurant in Elisabethtown and the one on Leland. When I saw the menu in this one I couldn't believe it was owned/managed by the same group. I heard the one in Lumberton was sold. Back to this particular restaurant. I didn't know what to expect because the place looked like a neglected building and property. The parking lot is crumbling and the building exterior looks like it could be abandoned. There is even the old "Villa Roma" sign on the awning. Just b careful where you walk because of the bad conditions of the parking lot and entrance. Enter inside to see an open area with dark, black painted ceiling and walls and windows that need a complete remodel inside. There is a temporary inside air conditioner that works well but masks a lot of noise. The acoustics are bad with noises and voices traveling everywhere. The cobwebs and old nails inside the windows give this place a gothic vibe. The bathrooms are about equivalent to those in Developing countries. At least the toliets had seats and lids and there was hand soap. The servers were quick and good with asking about your orders and coming back to check on the customers. I did have a garden salad that was ice berg lettuce, tomato pieces and slices of cucumbers with a package of Newnan's own caesar dressing. When we placed our order we were surprised how quickly the mahi mahi with sweet potato and rib eye steak with green beans and a baked potato came out. The food looked and tasted great just like the food we had in the Leland Christopher's. The prices were reasonable. The portions were good. I guess if you can over look the condition of the exterior and interior you will get a...
