Just tried their naturals beef snack stick and am blown away! I just can't eat most beef sticks because they are so salty to me. These were fantastic! I had to have my husband check like 3 times to make sure the nutrition and actual weight of beef stick were correct because they are huge for only 110 calories. Costco better not discontinue these! Now I'm anxious to try their other products!
UPDATE** recently the packaging has changed for the beef snack sticks. The sodium content has decreased a bit which was great to see, but the new and correct nutrition information is now listed. A few days ago I bought the Portabella and Swiss cheese chicken sausage and cooked one as I usually do. The casing was so thick and tough that I could not bite into it. I had to spit out the casing in order to eat the sausage. The next day I tried again, this time cutting the sausage into small slices. Same thing - the casing (which I could barely cut) was not chewable or edible. I've just tried one last time - same problem. I had to spit out the casing. Read moreI usually shop deli meats from Pete's market. Today I found Greenridge farm smoked turkey breast sale for 7.99/lb. Before buying I always sample one slice from the butcher. The slice is literally dipped in salty water reminds of anchovies in the bottle. How can you fool customers Greenridge by labeling 54% low sodium ? Shame on you. Then I changed my mind and went for low sodium sara lee turkey . What a difference. Remember don't get fooled. So sara lee must be 80% low sodium. why pay more with Greenridge ?
