We arrived on a Friday night in late June at about 5:30 p.m. and were promptly seated. Yes, it was a table for 6 in the bar but that was no problem. Our waitress arrived after we'd had time to view the menu. She was bright and upbeat and explained the special. We ordered and went to the salad bar which was not large but had plenty of the essentials with the highlight being the huge smoked fish. Our food came promptly. I had the perch dinner and was not disappointed as I so often have been with perch at other local restaurants. This was lightly breaded and definitely not from the South China Sea. My meal came with American fries and steamed vegetables and 4 filets of perch. I was totally pleased. My wife had the baked cod and her's was well-seasoned and tasty. It was very loud where we were seated in the bar area but what would you expect in a bar full of late afternoon golfers? We were advised to get reservations for later visits this summer and that's a good idea. We will...
Read moreQuit Qui Oc has 27 holes of very affordable golf with reasonably challenging and interesting holes. The course has 18 holes, with the first tee and 10th tees close to the clubhouse. The remaining nine (Glacier by name) is a short distance from the clubhouse by car and helps to offer nine holes there if not available on the 18 holes. These is a spacious practice fairway with the Glacier. In general the fairways are in excellent condition throughout the season and are well maintained. The greens are in good condition unless winterkill occurred, but recover quickly. The clubhouse has excellent food, bar and several HD TVs. The staff are the most courteous and friendly people you will find anywhere and are always helpful when requesting a tee time. I have played this course over several years and would highly recommend this to any golfer (except Tiger). The course is approximately 60 miles north...
Read moreEverything was good on the first 9, then Todd came around on the back 9 and told us we needed to move quicker because the pace was based on us and there was 2 hole gap in front of us. Fact is we were held up by 2 groups in front of us during the first 9 which didn't end up playing the back 9. So yes Todd there would be a 2 hole gap. Based on what he told us and the people behind made it dangerous going forward, especially when one ball hit the roof of our cart. Todd, what if that was a person's head? Golf is not a fast sport, but apparently money means more than safety. Do not plan on golfing this course again unless there are changes. I golf two or more times a week, with a group of four. Todd can be removed as well! Less...
