Very disappointed. I just had my son 8 weeks ago and as a postpartum mom struggling with body confidence, I finally got the courage to get into the gym again to try and bring my confidence and strength up once again. When I signed up, nothing was stated about not being able to bring my son in his car seat. I went multiple times and had no issue had others coming up to me saying how good it was for me to come out and do this for myself. Then I get told out of the blue I am no longer able to come. Being 2 months postpartum my son isn’t in daycare yet as I have just a few more weeks at home. I was bringing him with me and he sat in his car seat sleeping 98% of the time not bothering anyone as I would only be in the gym 30 minutes to an hour. I'm not bringing a mobile child. As a mom, I would never put my child in danger or at risk of being hurt. It’s just sad how it can take so much for a new mom to find the courage to even step foot in the gym then be excluded. It also has been the gym my partner has been at for quite a few years and we enjoyed working out together as something we do together as parents of multiples it’s our healthy escape to take the time parents need. Now having to find different gyms and pay 2 memberships it just gets to be the short end of the stick for the mom. The Gym Inc. Sadly isn't a mom-friendly gym save your money and go somewhere else where they won't bring down your confidence to go.
We've loved this gym otherwise so sad it has...
Read moreThe Gym Inc, feels like home to me. Great atmosphere with lots of friendly faces. Not only are the members kind, friendly, and helpful but so are the staff members. If you see a problem they are quick to fix it and accept your feedback in a postive way. There's loads of equipment whether your looking for free weights, machines, cables, squat racks, and benches. I've noticed people are quick to see the bad in things and are reluctant to point out the positives. I come from a small town where there is one gym, in its entirety it has one squat rack, one bench, free weights that go up to 70lbs, a couple treadmills and maybe two other machines. I noticed a negative post about "The Gym Inc" not being friendly towards mothers and there children and I think the gym is very supportive of all people who want to workout and better themselves. Unfortunately not all gyms are able to accommodate children due to the risk of injury to the children. And the liability it buts on the owner. That's why there are specific gyms like the wellness center that are staffed to watch your child while you work out. Thank you to everyone at The Gym Inc who have made it feel like...
Read moreFor the last 20 years I have been a member at a national corporate gym because I traveled a lot for my job. Now that I am no longer traveling and just moved to Watertown, I was looking for something different. I wanted 24/7 access and a trainer and my experience with the corporate gym trainers was not always favorable. I reviewed the gyms in town and saw lots of good reviews on The Gym Inc, so I decided to check it out. It is in a very unique historic building, it was clean, the staff were friendly and they had a supplement and smoothie store. After a couple months there I decided to get a trainer and was paired with Craig. It has been a great experience! Craig is a very fit young man that is a walking encyclopedia about exercises and supplements. I recently decided to enter into a powerlifting contest and Craig has set up a phenomenal plan, I have been seeing gains every week and setting new PR's every month. In addition the clients are very friendly, it is like a gym family. I strongly encourage you to check it out...you won't be...
