Five Below — Local services in Elmwood Park

I have to agree with the 1 star reviews. Store is very clean and neat. However, the worker as described below makes the shopping experience terrible. Today was my second time shopping here. And this time worst than the first. The black woman with the bob wig was there both times. Now this store has regular registers and self checkout lines. However, she refused to let anyone use them. She literally held up the line and stated “This is not Walmart, nobody will be scanning their own items. People will not leave this store with 15 items and only paid for 2”. A paying customer ahead of me proceeded to the self checkout terminal and before he could do anything she again stated “Didn’t you hear what I said, nobody is scanning their own items”. I have worked customer service 15+ years and I would never talk to hard working paying customers like that. Granted there are people who steal and try to get over. But if they wanted to do so, they would not have been on a line for 20+ mins dealing with her and her attitude. They would have simply walked right out the store with whatever they wanted because she was so focused on the line, they could have. From a black to to a black woman, I hope she reads this and change her approach or simply just not work customer service. Really bad experience at this five below. Came in to get helium put in some outside balloons not bought at five below . Clearly states in store and on the website that they do fill balloons . An employee said they do not so I waited in line to speak to someone else because it does state they do . I ended up with the manager Bella and she at first said they don’t do it . I stated it even says it on the sign in the store that they do . She then said that all balloons would be $10 whatever the size is and that’s what it is after a little bit of an attitude. It clearly states pricing for sizes as well on the website and in store. Definitely will not be coming to this location again after it just seems like they don’t want to do it . First Time at Five Below

This was my first time checking out Five Below, and honestly, I loved it! They have so many different things to choose from, and the quality is way better than I expected for the price. You can find a little bit of everything—snacks, home stuff, beauty, games, and even cute décor.

The whole vibe of the store felt kind of nostalgic and even a little shabby chic, which made it fun to walk around and explore. It’s definitely one of those places where you go in for “just one thing” and end up leaving with a bag full of stuff you didn’t know you needed.
