After posting my review, I decided to look on the Previous reviews and I come to find out that Iām not the only one complaining about the same African-American lady with the same description of how she looks and the way she treated her customers. This is more than her third strike.
SHOP RITE ON RT 4 ELMWOOD PARK BRAND NEW ONE WHERE K-MART USE TO BE Very rude attitude as soon as I walked in from the door thatās right by the lottery machine. Sheās telling me ohh THE STORE IS CLOSED 11:00 on the dot meanwhile her employee was behind me to use the lottery machine next to the coin star machine . YOU CANT USE IT YOUR MONEY IS GONNA STUCK SO I THOUGH MACHINE HAD AN ISSUE BUT IT LOOKED AND SEEMED TO BE WORKING FINE. SHE KEPT ON INSISTING WITH THE SAME PHRASE OF THE Store is closed. Your money is going to get stuck and if he does, I have to give you money and itās gonna take some time. I said I never seen a lottery machine thatās working that takes your money and doesnāt give it back to you or doesnāt give out a ticket unless the machine states that it has an issue I said I take the risk. No worries that youāre gonna have to leave the store. Canāt use the machine so as soon as I turned away from the machine, her employee put the money in the machine and get the scratch off card. Meanwhile, Iām being told that I canāt use the machine because the store is closed And it was literally two minutes before 11 it was 1058 So I went to put my money louder, she gets stating the same words over and over you have to leave you canāt use the machine She couldāve said it nicely as soon as I walked in with a nasty attitude I was greeted first she says thereās nobody over there. I said Iām not looking for anybody. Iām here to buy a ticket from Saskatchewan machine. And then she kept saying the same thing over and over very nasty attitude. Very frustrating African-American lady in her 40s to 50s had a grey Shoprite polo on she had glasses. and she has the nerve to say good luck. Hope you win to her employee that bought a scratch off after I got kicked out for trying to do so my first time coming in. It will be my last. If you are working in the field of customer service, you should know how to greet your customers and state the issue or the situation thatās going on professionally not like sheās talking to her enemy. I swear to God Iām so mad right now the way she talked. I kept calm to myself. I said I will write a review and reviews go way long and then she start mumbling whoever the general manager of this location is she needs to be disciplined
Also, I tried getting her name from her name tag. She blocked it with her hand so I donāt see her name. Like if youāre bringing in your out of the work problems, negative energy to work then you shouldnāt be in Customer Service and I wasnāt the only one got that attitude , I tried saving up elderly gentleman from getting attitude. After a few visits I was disappointed. Yes the store is new and clean but whoever selected and hired the personnel did not do the store justice or any favors. The produce manager was helpful as well as Brenda in the bakery department. The workers in the deli should all be replaced. Not friendly at all no greeting and the slowest ever. Sloppily package your deli meats in a haphazard manner. One woman had no teeth. On 1 occasion I was the only customer at the counter and the man kept calling numbers. The worker at the Seafood Dept was unfriendly and condescending when I asked if he could cut me a 12ounce piece of cod. He nastily said you have to take the whole filet. He wasnāt a credit to the store. At any seafood store or counter the fishmonger will cut anything you want. The meat department looked good but was not stocked with the weekly circular specials and I had to ask for product and had to wait. With a cart half full the front end supervisor was trying to steer me to self checkout. I refused a number of times as I donāt work as a Shop Rite cashier. She was indignant when I refused. Ā Ā Ā Read moreArrived at the deli at 11:55am with 3 men being served. The 2 women serving 2 of the men worked at the slowest possible speed. They laughed and conversed with each other mumbling under their breath dragging their feet while they walked back and forth. The man who was serving the other man was working productively. At 12:23 both women finished then2 men's orders. It took all of 28 minutes for her to slice 1 lb of prosciutto. There were about 10 of us waiting, 4 numbers after me all disappeared. The man who was working productively had a nasty customer who kept adding items and still finished around the same time. It took the 2 women another 5 minutes or so to call their next customer while the man was already serving 2 customers. Someone must of went and complained because the women started saying loud enough "they're watching they're watching" and then started moving fast..disgusting complete disregard for the same customers that make it possible for them to get a pay check...then the lady at customer service..name tag read "SHALONDAYEAH" decided to eat instead of handling customers and food was too spicy...damn that sht spicy and oh sht damn it's spicy as hell..that's all we heard while she tried to compose herself...idk what's worse here...
