Small town values? Not at KJ's. Customers always right? Not at KJ's. Customer concern? Not at KJ's. Charging another days rental if jackhammer was not returned even though the national weather service advised against travel, even though the person that rented it had asked when he picked it up and the owner said that if the roads were to bad he wouldn't charge him if he was unable drive the 30 miles to the store. When this young man went in the ditch on his way to return the rental he called the store and told Jay that the roads were really bad, that he was in the ditch and asked if he could return it the following day as he didn't feel comfortable driving that far with the road conditions. Jay said if you don't want me to charge your card for another' days rental you need to return it. Sad that Jay values the dollar more than safety of his customers but like he said I'm in this business to make money. Well done Jay. All-mighty dollar worth more than the safety of his customers?...

I had a reservation to pickup a rental item at Truevalue. Upon arrival, Jay told me that the item I had rented was not available.

Rather than taking accountability, Jay became aggressive and accusatory. When presented proof, he threatened to cancel my equipment rental. Rather than do business with someone like this, I elected to just buy the equipment from another establishment.

As I walked away, I looked at the cashier, who wouldn't take his eyes off the floor. Sadly, it looked like he had similar interactions with Jay, yet was unable to take his business elsewhere as I had done. 0/10, do...

A brand new hardware store in town and it is excellent! Inside of the place is clean and it has a nice environment, especially for a hardware store. It also has a lot of items that you won’t find much in any other store. It has a bunch of Milwaukee items like Drills, Vacuums, clothing’s, etc. I would recommend people to come here and get items that they need for something.
