Wow where to begin Myself and two lifelong friends since seventh grade -made plans to go for one friends 65th birthday Two of us drove from Hampton Virginia Which we have a Rosie’s at Hampton and I’ve been there several times had a great time Really love their Wednesday burgers Our other friend drove from Elizabethtown North Carolina it was a halfway point We all saved some extra money Got a lovely hotel at Fairfield wonderful place to stay We met up about 2 o’clock Checked in Got settled by a nice charcuterie tray had some snacks And decided we would go ahead and go early to the casino and have a couple cocktails so we called a cab Leaving with great expectations at the possibilities of hitting it big we go to Rosie’s We come and giggling with excitement and anticipation Everybody seems nice and friendly welcome us One girlfriend said let me go to the bathroom OK we’ll meet you at bar get a cocktail before we get on a machine and get our party started Couple guys sitting at the bar no one behind it at least five minutes later Young lady walks out doesn’t walk all the way to us about 2 feet away and turns around saysI’ll be right back Odd??? Then another lady comes out in front of her walks up several feet from us and we’re like yeah we like … she said I don’t know she runs the bar she I’ll be right back A little confused we said can we get a drink what’s going on The other young lady shakoya( not sure of spelling but easily enough tracked) December 28 4 o’clock in the afternoon 2024 Says -can I offer y’all some water ,coffee a soda or something to eat Flabbergasted No I said I’d like a beer and they want this it’s her 65 th birthday She goes on to say she does not feel comfortable serving us Dumbfounded We’re are like really are you kidding we haven’t had anything yet we caught a cab over so we could have cocktails and celebrate her birthday maybe win some money we all had about 400 bucks apiece ready to roll No we’re not high rollers but we’d like to have fun Refuse to serve us -I said we need to speak to a manager we had spent a chunk of change just to plan on this trip and hadn’t got started yet is my friend’s birthday A wonderful man by the name of Shawn Regional manager opened Hampton location talked to us for about 15 minutes and proceeded to say we were fine and explained their policy A little aggravated because we still couldn’t figure out what triggered her with the brief moment she interacted with us Other than she just didn’t like us -hate to say this but she was being very prejudice We did get our cocktails however it was a big burst of our bubble We stayed a couple hours and then went to Cracker Barrel had dinner Felt awkward even though the rest of the staff were very nice included another lady or whatever we went up to get a drink which I had three the same girl refused to serve had to get the other lady from the back Talk about being embarrassed and uninviting atmosphere We had planned this trip for future rendezvous at a halfway point needless to say we will never return Would appreciate it if the staff of upper management for Rosie’s would Check out the video see we did nothing at all to create the situation They deflated our expectations just like bursting a balloon In hindsight wish we would’ve put a dollar in a machine much less than...

I went to Rosie's Gaming Emporia VA with 2 lifelong friends to celebrate my 65th birthday. Two of us drove from Hampton VA while the other drove from Elizabethtown NC. We arrived at Rosie's at about 4 pm ready to have a cocktail and play some games. We were welcomed in at the front door and 2 of us went to the bar while the other went to the restroom. The bartender (Sequoia not sure if this is the correct spelling) no where in sight comes from the back about 5-7 minutes later. She does Not fully approach us and says "I'll be right back" and proceeds back through the door. She returns after a few more minutes with another lady and THEN they both disappear to the back. The bartender (Sequoia) returns and asks if she can get us a water, coffee, soda or something to eat. We state we would like two vodka cocktails and a beer. She then proceeds to tell us "she doesn't feel comfortable serving us" CONFUSED and DUMBFOUNDED as we could not figure out what triggered her to be "uncomfortable" as we had Not had a cocktail prior to arriving at Rosie's and she has not even spoken to us except to say "I'll be right back". After speaking with the General Manager Sean we were able to get our drinks made by the second lady. But each time for a total of 3 Sequoia refused to serve us and went to the back to get the second lady to fix our drinks. ABSOLUTELY FELT LIKE PREJUDICE. It would be appreciated if the Corporate Office would take the time and view the footage from Rosie's Emporium Emporia VA for Saturday December 28, 2024 approximately 4:10 pm. and see there was No reason to be treated with such disrespect and We Did nothing to create this situation. To Say this the WORST experience I have ever encountered is an Understatement especially to a place that was a chosen designation to celebrate, enjoy ourselves and spend our money. It's fun if you enjoy gaming and want to waste away money. Sometimes they will pay back enough for you to have a bit of fun before ultimately losing it all. For the most part, and majority of the time you will lose all your money before the hour. As expected when they first opened here, you could very rarely win 2x-10x your money. RARELY.
