Berger Hardware is beyond the beyonds of amazing and Kathy (I hope I spelled her name correctly!) is the kindest, most patient, incredibly well-informed, and thoughtful person you could ever hope to help you. (Her father was a doormaker and she has worked in the industry for over 20 years, which is pretty amazing and, of course, contributes to her incredible knowledge base.) :)

My current projects are small so they aren't very lucrative, yet Kathy gave me the time and attention a lot of companies would reserve for a VIP design client. She is also truly an incredible wealth of information and shared things to consider that I hadn't thought of. She even asked to see a photo of the door and asked what kind of wood it is, the time period of the home, etc., when helping me select an entry doorknob set. Amazing!

Berger Hardware is in the process of relocating to Encinitas (which will be their new home as of 2023). I will continue to shop there and recommend Berger Hardware and Kathy. It will be more than worth the trek from San Diego to Encinitas for Kathy's expertise and Berger's extensive array of quality products.

FANTASTIC and PERSONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! From my very first call to Berger Hardware, everyone I interacted with was so extremely helpful. From Mateo to Kathy to the woman who runs the front office (I can't remember her name), they all supported each other to make my experience seamless. I broke my 17 year old Emtek door handle, and I looked all over the web for the right replacement. I was able to find the right model on several sites. But, when I went to order it, other online sites suddenly added more fees, or changed the delivery date, or weren't able to source the right model. Berger hardware spent time with me on the phone, found the right model, were able to source it, and stood by their price. On every level they were the absolute best experience. I'm a commercial customer. I can be demanding - some may say difficult. I demand a level of service that many companies just can't handle. I used to take all of my business to that big hardware store that is synonymous with San Diego.

For the last couple months, I've shifted all of my hardware business to Berger.
