The older woman was very rude to me and to the younger female cashier. I drove about 25 miles to pick up a replacement part for a Zippo hand warmer. The ace website showed it available at the energy location and I called before I left home to verify. The person who answered said yes we have this in stock, one left. When I got there and asked where I could find it, the young female cashier asked the older woman for help who immediately got rude with her and myself. Telling the younger lady that she should not have verified anything without visually seeing it and that the information on their computer is for their eyes only. I laughed & told her that the internet verified it was in stock at her store and ask her if I should not have gotten that information free from Google? I took my time to browse around the store at which point the older woman came to me with the replacement part in hand and apologized. Read moreA few weeks ago I was in this store because I needed to install a J-Trap in my kitchen sink and tbh, I have some plumbing experience but I would not say that in a room of plumbers. Anyway, I was browsing the aisle for parts and feeling lost when Ferris arrived and asked if I needed anything.
Ferris proceeded to spend the next 30-40 minutes with me looking at pictures of my situation and helping me piece together the parts I would need; he was patient, explained things well and tbh, he kept me from wasting time and money.
I got home with the parts Ferris had recommended and was able to get this project successfully completed and fixed in about an hour. Outstanding customer service and so personable; Ferris guided me like a friend or neighbor on how to get this project done correctly and I am grateful.

Read moreI purchased a weber grill early last month. This is my 2nd weber grill I have purchased from Ace. This grill was the latest and greatest. However, I was not satisfied overall with how it cooked. I called and spoke with Mallory, I explained that I was not satisfied with how it cooked and asked to bring back and purchase the model that was similar to my old weber. She stated I would have to call weber. Weber stated that I would have to contact Ace on returns. It's shameful customer service is what it is this day and age. As a rewards member for 20 years, You would think they would try a little harder. I live 50 miles south of Ace hardware in Energy Illinois because Ace has been loyal to there customers in the past.
