Herrin Bowl — Local services in Energy

My son and I have been frequenting Herrin Bowl recently, as he made the junior high bowling team. We’ve spent many hours there in the past few weeks and the staff is incredibly friendly.

I did not realize how phenomenal Herrin Bowl was (I’m not a bowler) until we were forced to visit another local bowling establishment in Carterville due to Herrin Bowl being closed for a private party and leagues tonight (a huge, but completely understandable bummer).

Now that I have something to compare it to, I can say without a doubt that Herrin Bowl absolutely is the best in the area. They are all so incredibly friendly and really put all of their patrons first.

Herrin Bowl also keeps a very clean establishment and the balls and lanes are extremely well-cared for. The house balls are not only clean, not gummy, and not full of deep pock marks, but they are also very neatly organized by weight, making it very easy for you to find the best ball to suit you. They also offer a variety of the grip hole sizes to ensure every hand can find the perfect holes.

Their shoes are clean and obviously sanitized after each use. Their bathrooms are always clean and they make sure their tables are always spotless for the next guests. They do not have gambling, vaping/smoking, or alcohol making it a truly family-friendly experience.

Their pro shop is also quite courteous and easily accessible.

I cannot recommend Herrin Bowl and all of their staff enough. But the best part is, on top of having the best service, best staff, cleanest and most organized facility, they also feature the best prices and deals in the area as well. We enjoy the specials that are available from Herrin Bowl. The facility is clean, and well maintained. The bowling lanes were updated and has several to choose from . My biggest complaint was that the music that was played while we were there was inappropriate for children. We had a group of 3 kids with us , along with at least 4 others in the venue at the same time . The songs (which were very low) were full of explicit language. Ridiculous rules that would be a smidge more understandable if delivered with a better attitude, at the very least. The staff are very rude, especially to small children. I do not recommend. Waste of time and money; it's no wonder bowling alleys are going out of business everywhere- this one will soon too. Edit: on our way out the rude old man (THE OWNER) accosted me about this review in front of 3 small children. Unacceptably rude and disgustingly inappropriate behavior. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE.
