Taco Bell — Restaurant in Herrin

Usually when people say they will never be back to a place they are exaggerating but I can promise you I will never be back here. I have had multiple issues in the past with 1 hr+ long wait times and poorly made/wrong items but have always overlooked it because that usually just how fast food is. But as someone who has worked in this industry before I know when someone is being rude and messing with me. Me and my boyfriend placed an order on the app and when I went to pick it up I was told that they did not have the big cheese-it tostada. This usually is never a problem at this Taco Bell we usually just pick another similar item and they replace it with that. With my extra cheez-it I ordered it would have been around $4 so I asked if I could just have a quesadilla instead which is about $5. The lady tells me no and instists she can only replace it with a normal tostada (which I did not want) or I had to get a refund. I wanted to avoid calling my boyfriend and getting him to cancel it because the order wasn’t even on my phone so I tried asking for a nacho taco which would have been even cheaper than what I ordered. Another worker comes over the head seat and snaps at me that they will not do it and I can only have the tostada or a refund. It was just so confusing because I have never ever had this issues before so I drove off a little upset because it was just kind of rude. So I call my boyfriend and we get this refund and place a completely new order. I go back though the drive thru and i really was trying to be very nice and polite because I know everybody has bad days and misunderstandings and she said absolutely nothing to me. Not one word. Had to read the screen and make sure I was checked in. I get to the window and a bigger girl maybe in her late 20s with an eyebrow piercing and snakebites is waiting for me. She does this odd thing of barely trying to hand me my drinks and she ended up dropping one of them on the ground. That caused her to storm off wordlessly then return to the window a few minutes later only to do the exact same thing again. Did the same with my food too. When we got the food they left one of our cheese cups out and barely put any in the other. The chips were very stale. Usually I am very understanding but this is probably the worst experience I have ever had and I have never met...

I came here to leave a good review because I am honestly shocked by all of the negative ones on here and facebook about this taco bell. I have lived in herrin for a year now and every time i come through here (often) the drive thru workers are SO kind no matter what time it is. If there is a line you may have to wait several minutes for your order. But it is always hot and always tastes great. Ive never had any items missing and nothing has ever been cold or incorrect. I know the staff has walked out due to management once, but I honestly have no idea how anyone could give this place a 1 star review because I think that it is so great!! So thank you to the employees who work the kitchen and the drive thru you’re doing...

I would not have given 1 star but I had to in order to leave a review. Placed an order in drive through last about 10:35-10:40pm unroute to work. Order was for Nacho Fries Box with 5 layer burrito NO SOUR CREAM, 2 beefy frito burritos [that don't come with sour cream] only to get my order in a hurry to work to find massive amounts of SOUR CREAM on EVERYTHING!! 1 beefy frito burrito was mangled beyond eadible nor did I get the soda. I paid $11.++ for an older that I did not eat.... that was intentionally loaded with sour cream... even on items that dont come with sour cream. How is that for a soon to be 15.00 an...
