I went 2 weeks ago looking for a new salon closer to home and the reviews for this place seemed good. Denise did my first set. Acrylics have been lifting really badly (after 3 to 4 weeks) because my nails have been growing quickly so I asked for them to be removed and to have hard gel. Denise was distracted the whole time with her phone. Kept complaining about a guy ghosting her and checking her phone every 5 minutes. I had to tell her 3 times that I wanted hard gel. The last time she put acrylic powder on my first nail and I told her no again so she wiped it off. Did not remove all of the acrylic first. Just did a hard gel fill. It was uneven and sloppy (see black and teal photo). She told me it was self leveling and just needed a day. So I waited. On day 3 one of them started lifting where I had to glue the acrylic down. I called the salon. Anna was nice and understanding when I explained what happened. Offered to fix them for free. So I went and saw Trang (sorry if I spelled it wrong). We decided to remove everything and do dip powder instead. She got most of the hard gel and acrylic off before she started doing the dip. Denise sat behind me and kept checking on her work which was awkward. Trang did do a better job of shaping but she did cut my cuticle once. The powder looked better. Now here we are 5 days after the dip and I already have one that is chipped and lifting again (see grey photo with purple background) . I only worked one day and have been home sick since so it's not like I've been doing anything with my hands since. I reached out via text and they said maybe my hands were oily but that they would fix that one nail if I wanted to come back. At this point I don't really trust them to not lift again. Maybe just stick to this place if you're getting your lashes done. For nails I will be looking elsewhere.
Update: Salon responds a couple hours later and apparently didn't read that they didn't actually remove all of the acrylic or hard gel before the worked on me either time. Meanwhile they still haven't responded to the text message I sent asking for a...
Read moreThis Tuesay I went in with a friend for a last minute mani pedi. This was my second time here and I was telling her how great my first experience there was. Well, the way we were greeted and treated that day made me feel awful that I even suggested it. It was late in the day and business was slow. The woman who greeted us, remained sitting where she chatted with other techs around the corner and asked loudly how she could help us. No big deal. But she was very terse and uninterested in us. After we asked about pricing and such, we picked our colors and went to sit. I have very soft nails that break super easy, and so I tend to keep my toe nails short, (I stub my toes all the time and they painfully break off). She made sure to comment many times on how short they were, how she wished I wouldn't have cut them and had this disgusted face the entire time. They weren't bleeding, they weren't infected. They were SHORT. Next she made sure to comment on my legs. I had healing bug bites from a trip to new Mexico and she questioned me about them, asking if I had zika and how I better not have zika. Again a face of pure disgustion.
I was ashamed and I regret even going in there. She painted my nails hastily and carelessly. Bubbles, cracks and chips and it's only been two days. I paid almost $40 dollars for this and am extremely disappointed with the poor service, poor quality and rudeness.
I won't...
Read moreI stopped in the Paradise Nail Bar and Salon because I had put a box color on my hair and it was orange! My first visit I was told to call back the next day and talk to someone that dyed hair. I called the next day and had an appointment that evening with Alvin. Alvin was great the first meeting! He washed out my orange color and cut my hair. I had an appointment to return the next night to get my hair dyed. I walked in and told the receptionist I had an appointment with Alvin. She was very rude and told me to go ahead and let him know I was there. I walked in to the doorway and said, "Alvin, Karen is here". He did a quick turn towards me and said "Ok" and kept talking to his client. I returned to the reception area and after waiting almost a half an hour with no one acknowledging I would be helped in a few minutes or anything, I walked out. Alvin or the salon never even called me to find out if they could be of service to me or what was wrong. The entire staff was very rude. Save your money and spend it where you will be...
