Came for the first time New Year's Day. This is our overall rating 2 1/2 stars. Hubby gave it a 1, I gave it 2 1/2, kiddos gave it a 3 and 4 star. Food was good, no wows. Prices were ok. But it was the manners/cleanliness that really got me. We came in as a party of 7. There was only one other party in there, place was pretty much empty. My sister arrived right before me and got a table. Well there was a staff member eating at the table we were placed at. The host/waiter asked him to get up and then had us sit there. Never cleaned the table. I wish my sister would have mentioned this beforehand. Anywho to continue, we ordered chips and salsa to start off with. We finish them up and I use the tray they came in as a trash holder. We get food (portions not really big). Waiter brings ketchup (which is packets in a bowl) for my kiddo's fries. Half the packets have sticky stuff on them, I end up opening 2. Well the 2 used packets go in the empty chips tray and I also drip some of my water over the tray to rinse off my sticky fingers from ketchup packets. Pieces of straw wrapper also went into tray. Ok so we're eating, waiter asks if we'd like more chips. Sure, yes please. We're eating through the new chips and almost to the bottom and I'm like "what the heck is this?" The waiter used the same tray with all the trash and water in it and just piled chips on top!! The empty ketchup packets are in there and everything! This totally grossed me out and I will definitely not be back. Made me question what happens behind the counter, if dishes get washed, are they clean with...
Read moreThe food was great, and the portions were enough for me (a large man) to eat twice, but that isn't why I'm here writing this. I'm writing this because I went in with my disabled sister today and typically when I take my sister out she gets a lot of dirty looks and has even been insulted (she doesn't speak so it doesn't bother her anyways but it bothers me). I even had an SUV with 3 kids in it almost run me off the road by the middle school around the corner because they were distracted while making fun of her. But I did not have that experience at Tres Amigos. Towards me they were friendly, and multiple of them addressed me by name which was really welcoming, but for me the important part was how they were towards my sister. I noticed one or two adoring glances from staff that really warmed my heart because I could feel that they saw my sister to be precious like I do, and they offered her a lolipop. That may seem like nothing to write home about, but that's the point. This was a very pleasant experience that felt like it was the average experience. I don't care how a restaurant can wow me one time, I care how a restaurant makes me feel every time.
I've always had a good experience with the other place I go to, but after my first time at Tres Amigos I think my loyalty may be shifting. 5 star food, and...
Read moreIf youâre looking for the best Mexican Restaurant in Las Vegas, look no further! Amazing food, friendly people, welcoming atmosphere and affordable prices. At first glance we thought Tres Amigos was just another regional fast-food chain, but we were wrong. The dining area is clean, cheerful and fun and we were instantly greeted by the staff and welcomed with a smile. The menu is complete with every Mexican delicacy you can imagine and offers everything from appetizers to desert. We ordered chicken fajitas and a âwetâ shrimp burrito. When the food arrived at the table a short while later, we were blown away by the size of the portions. But more importantly both dishes were the best we have ever eaten, anywhere and at any price. During dinner the owner and chef came to our table to see if were enjoying our meal and to thank us for helping support his business. Not only does this demonstrate the pride he takes in his restaurant and the food he serves, but it clearly shows his appreciation for his customers. Something lacking in many businesses today. For dessert we ordered the Fried Ice Cream and it too was a âwowâ. Delicious and HUGE! Big enough for two or more people. Whatever you do, save room for the Fried Ice Cream. If you like Mexican food, youâre going to...
