Unfortunately have to rate this as low as possible. I had went in today with my fiancé to get her car battery looked at and replaced. My issue never lied with the two associates who were both professional, insightful, and extremely helpful (gentleman with the cane and woman with the blond hair and grey shirt) but it lied with another associate who was the least involved in my visit today. When we first arrived, the associate with the cane came and looked at the battery initially and then rang us up with a few options presented. He had a professional tone and presentation, which was much appreciated. I never felt like he was going to give us any issue. The woman in the grey shirt is the one who actually replaced it and we were able to inquire about the part and the car and she was kind enough to do a systems check for us. She even apologized and said she’s sorry it was taking long (not long at all!) because it was so hot out. She was incredibly nice and welcoming and helpful and I can’t thank her enough!
The gentleman in the black cap was the issue today. Since it was hit out, my fiancé wanted a water, as did I. I had went into the store to grab one. The associate in the black cap was the one who rang me out at the register. He had opened dialog asking if I wanted to run across the street to Wawa to grab water for half of the price. I declined and just said that my fiancé wanted some now since it was so hot. our situation we were in had left her in a sweater and pants so she needed some and I didn’t want to take the extra 5 minutes to also walk in the heat crossing a busy street to the Wawa just to save a dollar. Plus, it’s a water brand she likes so it makes sense to purchase here for me. He then went on to state how I haven’t been hit with inflation apparently (a 1 dollar difference dude? Really?) and how our generation is this and that. First off, I just wanna purchase the water. I don’t need to be hearing these rude comments about my generation because I just wanted to grab some now and was willing to pay the extra dollar. Get a grip. Secondly, you are in a professional setting my man. You’re on the job. There is no acceptable place to be putting your opinions and feelings on full display. It’s a free country, doesn’t mean you can say whatever you’d like on the job. That’s being a store associate 101. I’m sure many people have had opinions and thoughts about me before, but keep them to YOURSELF. It’s not only professional but it’s common courtesy in a setting such as the one you and I were in. Or, maybe that’s not something YOUR generation understands.
Our interactions did not end there unfortunately. When I was starting my fiancés car and with the woman who was checking the new battery, he came out to take a look. When he asked when the last time the oil was changed I popped my head out and said “oh it’s this kid”. Nothing wrong with that in my book. Then when responding I took a look at the sticker, examining and trying to find when it was last replaced. I don’t think it had said so I responded with “I’m not sure I would have to ask her” he then shook his head immediately and stated “well yeah if you don’t know you don’t know” then walked away as if I had upset him..? I don’t get it. I then overheard him speaking to another customer in the parking lot, mocking my response “oh I don’t know when the oil was changed” is what he was mimicking to the other customer.
I hate to leave the low review, but the older gentleman in the black cap really ruined it for me. Otherwise I was treated by other associates with professionalism and respect, regardless of what their opinions of me are. To the gentleman-if you are reading this, I would check your attitude and presentation. Unless you are like the rest of your generation and do not have a care in the...
Read moreExcellent customer service! Very happy customer here. I stopped in to have my battery checked, since it was giving me issues, and it was almost 4 years old. Dan, the Manager assisted me promptly with checking my battery and informed me it was bad, which is what I thought in the first place, but doesn't hurt to ask. Dan then assisted me in picking out a new battery and had great knowledge of his inventory and battery models for my Honda. I was impressed. I paid for the battery and even though it seemed slightly busy he came out within a minute or two and professionally installed my battery. I could have done this myself, but had a long day at work, and Dan seemed very interested in helping me out with the install. The battery was installed within minutes and was extremely happy that I did not have to do this myself. It is hard to find excellent customer service in today's world, but Dan at AutoZone took very good care of me and provided really amazing service. 5 Stars to Auto Zone in Ephrata, you guys are awesome! I will be back for more products that I need throughout the years. Thank you very much, and it was well worth my time to write this review, and was very deserving. Go to Auto Zone folks, you won't be...
Read moreThis is the worst AutoZone store i have ever been to. Stopped in on Friday Nov 10th need an oil Filter for my Car, The Girl at the Counter was awesome she looked it up for me and went to get it. When I got the aisle 3 Carts full of product blocked my reach of the oil filter, I went to move a cart to get the oil filter and 15 things fell off the cart almost hitting me. The Train of Carts cluttering up the Sales Floor along with the shelves being totally empty. The Store itself was very dirty used batteries everywhere the bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. The Creepy Guy Assistant store manager tries to flirt with every female customer that comes into the store just to try and make a sale totally unprofessional, the old man who is the store manager now should not be allowed to run a store ever he looks totally lost. and is in way over his head. No Respect and does not know how to control his employees. When I was in this store about 2 months ago the Environment was totally different, they had a ton of people to help me Store was Super clean, and the Store Manager had control of his Employees and store. I will Go to Advance or napa from now on way more...
