A great place to mall walk but not so great as a shopping destination. Many stores are empty so the shopping choices are very limited. Still, I enjoy walking on all three levels.
As an update, even more stores have closed. On a positive note, Starbucks has reopened. Not sure what will happen when Westfield sells all their US locations?
According to reports, Costco is taking over the space formerly occupied by Sears.
The center has been sold and the new owners say they will add a movie theater complex, more restaurants and more stores and entertainment options. Can't wait to see the enhancements.
A few more stores have closed but there are three new stores opening in October. Maybe the mall is going to make a comeback.
As of the end of November, several more stores have opened. Not sure if they are seasonal or permanent. Nice too see.
As of the end of January 2024, nine stores closed including CPK restaurant. Not good.
As of the beginning of April 2024, more stores closed including Forever 21 but it appears that 5-6 stores will be opening in the next couple of months. Hopefully things are turning around.
As of June 9, more store closures like Rue 21. The two Express stores will be closing soon. The juice kiosk in front of the Apple store is gone. The antique store next to Apple is now a sock store but the original antique store is still open on level 1. The new art cafe is open as is the art gallery on level 3 where Forever 2 was located.
As of October 2024, the art gallery that took over the space previously occupied by Forever 21 is closed. There is a new store going in that spot. The Men's District has relocated from the bottom level and now occupies both old Express stores. Mina's shoes is expanding and moving directly across the mall.
As of January 2025, the art store previously on level 3 is now on level 1. The sock store is gone and it appears that a toy store is going into that spot. The sports memorabilia store on level 1 is closed. There appears to be a comedy club moving into the old CPK spot.
As of April 2025, the comedy club/pizza place is open. Shoes Palace...
Read moreI used to work here back in 2003. It is the second largest mall in Southern California. I was pregnant, so did not work here very long, because I was the secretary for the entire mall, kiosks and all surrounding businesses...and my office was right next to the food court. The smell of all the amazing food, all the time, was just too much for me!
I used to answer all of the phones, greet and give help and direction to all the awesome, and sometimes, shortly disgruntled customers, reorganize the entire filing system to make the mall run efficiently, and work with the Sheriff's office to pickup the checks, which is located within the mall itself. It's a pretty tight ship, with a lot of fun, family oriented places, even a huge movie theatre and a fountain...or, at least was when I worked there. It was a really fun place to just walk around, hang out outside the Pavillion, walk around, go shopping, dine at restaurants ranging from fast food to luxury accommodations, or just grab a smoothie and study. It has appeal for people of all ages, races, genders, economic background or portfolio, whether a citizen or welcomed guest of these United States. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I haven't been to this mall in a few years, as I moved out of state, and it could have crumbled into pieces without me working there! 😉 I'd say, give it a try, even if just for dinner and a movie. There's always the rest of the town to check out, and Temecula has quite the variety of shopping areas, walking and picnic areas, and fine dining. The only bad part is the traffic, mostly due to the I15/I215 interchange close by. Other than that? Take the whole family, hang with friends, go on a first date, or go solo...somewhere in that town, I'm sure you'll find what you...
Read moreLast year I posted the following and the escalator still not working. This Mall has a new owner, will see. Cheering for this Mall not to close because is the only one that is enclosure and with our summer and winter/rain, is very convenientand a must. The next one is in Temecula. The North County Escondido Mall's administration has an issue in taking care of this mall. Shameful. The escalator has been without working for over 2 weeks, the decoration is ugly, there are several shops leaving the mall. This mall it is the only mall in San Diego that is an inside mall and used to be a great shopping place to go. It is sad what this administration is...
