First, the service staff was great. The salad was good especially for a house salad. The pizza was dry, and $17 for two slices with a two drink or for two food item minimum. That's unreasonable for the quality of food at that price. The cake was a small slice and a poor combination of bland and grainy. The drinks (vodka redbull, dark and stormy) were not great. The host/opener was pretty good. The second act should have been the headliner (funny jokes that made callbacks to earlier jokes). I don't know if Rich Vos was ever funny, but he wasn't tonight, and he doesn't seem to care about being funny anymore. He relied heavily on insulting the venue, insulting the staff, insulting the audience and making racial jokes at some audience members expense ("I'll build the wall...","when do your ankle monitors come off?" And others including referencing TSA workers as "fatties" for taking his food at the airport. "I got me some egg salad, Laquisha." Then playing it of as"that's my Irish impression ". Racial humor can be funny. His was not. He also took 4 phone calls and a few texts on stage (real or fake, not funny). Between the long headline act full of "I hate my wife, haha funny ","my kids are awful", and racial stereotypes, and the overly priced mediocre food and drinks... Not how I would have chosen to spend the evening with my fiance and her friends, in hindsight. I rarely leave bad reviews. I'm making an exception. Edit: I don't appreciate the replies suggesting that we should send a drink back or that we should be expected to read the fine print on your menu or website to know we are paying top shelf prices for sub par drinks made with Sabe. Don't put something on your menu as a dark and stormy if it isn't made with rum, ginger...
Read moreI went here last weekend. I heard this place is fairly new, only been open a couple months. Because it was so cold outside they should have had more than one heat lamp in operation. The size of the venue was nice, and it looked like everyone could see the comedians (who were hilarious!). I liked that they serve both food and drinks, and with the 2-drink minimum you can do one food item/one drink, 2 drinks, or 2 food items. I didn't like that the menu was just on printed paper, some with ring stains on it - it wasn't in a menu folder or even a menu card for a more professional appearance. The drink menu had a limited selection - no mixed drinks, just beer (including non-alcoholic Heineken but no regular Heineken), wine, and White Claw. I went with the Pizza Port IPA. In my experience at other comedy clubs, the server takes your card when you place your order, so when I gave my card to the server she said she takes it at the end, which I thought was strange but okay. I was sitting with 6 other people and what I didn't want was to be on the same bill with everyone else, which is exactly what happened, so I had to Venmo one of the 6 people the money for my drinks. I'm hoping that because this place is new the kinks are still being worked out and I hope things will have improved because I'd...
Read moreThis place was a total surprise—in the best way! Tucked in the back of the mall near Target, it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once inside, it delivers big laughs and a great atmosphere. The lineup featured three comedians—two openers and a headliner who had the crowd laughing non-stop for a solid 45 minutes.
We sat right up front by the stage and got hilariously roasted—so if you’re sensitive, maybe avoid the front row! The venue held about 100+ people, with a fun, diverse crowd ranging from 21 to 75, and a chill vibe overall.
Tickets are $17 per person and must be purchased online, which gets you on the list—no line, but if you want specific seats, arrive early and ask. The food was surprisingly good—I highly recommend the garlic breadsticks -guaranteed to be finished before your pizza arrives. Drinks are on the pricier side ($11 for a draft beer), but it’s a fair trade for the entertainment value.
Pro tip: park behind the restaurant, not in front of Target. Target closes at 10 PM, and the show runs later, meaning you’ll have to walk around the mall to get back to your car otherwise.
Highly recommend for a...
