This was good just hot a great trail! I'm sure it's more enjoyable in cooler times. Great scenery, wild life is pretty much everywhere. A lot of great spots at the bottom for shade not so much the rest of the trail. Your pretty much in the sun once you actually reach the trailhead for Bernardo mountain. A lot of foot traffic and Mt bikers, great place for Mt biking to, haven't taken my bike here yet but I will soon. Other trails to take to painted rocks, Sikes farm, mule hill and a few others. There are private trails becareful where you trek off to they are marked. Parking is free there is a Porta potty there. If the lot is full you can park on the street on the opposite side of the lot.
