I am an extremely pleased Hot Springs customer! Earlier this year (2023) I decided I wanted a hot tub and I looked around at all the local and online retailers. I ultimately settled on the Hot Springs Grandee for a number of reasons and I could not be happier with my decision. I was using the tub twice a day before the summer kicked in and now I am using it around 4-5 times a week during the summer. It has made a huge difference for my aches and pains and mental state of mind – very relaxing!

So why did I choose the Hot Springs Grandee from their Escondido store? First and foremost is the customer service from Hector. He is a genuine guy who will feel like a friend you have known a long time who you want to have a beer with after talking to him a few times. He is the opposite of most other sales guys in that he does not pressure you, does not use shady tactics (like car dealers) and he really seems to care about helping you out to get what you want. I was one of those customers who stopped by the store 5 times to talk to Hector about different models and he was always patient with me. He also let me test the hot tubs which was very helpful and after purchasing the hot tub he views me as a long-time customer and takes care of me. So props to Hector!

The purchase was super easy and the delivery team was amazing – they were on time and they had the hot tub installed in about an hour. They organized a crane for a few hundred bucks that was also on time.

As for the Hot tub itself. The Grandee is awesome. I am a tall guy and I like the room to stretch out in it. I also like the different jets and I frequently move around to experience all of them in one sitting. The tub is quiet and powerful and everything on it works very well. I like the touchscreen controls and the fancy lighting and features. I also very much like the 100% filtration system where all the water is filtered. So far this is making a big difference because the water is spotless clean with no dirt in the tub at all – I recommend a 100% filtration system because many small bugs, pollen, etc. somehow find their way in the tub and it captures all of them. The salt water system works perfect and once I got the tub figured out, it is extremely easy to maintain. I basically don’t do anything on a weekly or monthly basis except clean the filters, test the water, add some chemicals as needed or when the water is replaced. It is very easy to deal with. When I bought it they sent out a tech for free to teach me the ropes and that was one of the most useful 2 hours I ever spent learning about the tub.

The upgraded cover lifter is also pretty epic. It creates a perfect seal around the tub and is super easy to open and close which makes you want to use the tub more. It also helps with the other amazing feature, which is the efficiency. The tub is ridiculously good at holding heat. I testing this a number of times, by heating it when it was cold or hot out and turning off the heater to see what would happen – the result is that very little heat is lost with the cover closed. In the cooler weather it was losing 2-3 degrees from where I set it over a day with the heater off. In the summer it almost holds the heat with little electricity from the sun beating down on the cover. This is critical for those of us in San Diego to save on electric costs from SDGE. It really does not seem to use much electricity at all for what it is.

And oh yeah, my review would not be complete without me mentioning there are plenty of flat spots to set my cold beer on! Thanks Hot Springs...

I typically don’t write reviews, but my hot tub purchase decision was quite lengthy and in the end I have to say I’m thankful for San Diego Hot Springs and to Sam Montgomery and several San Diego Hot Springs staff members.

When I started questioning the attributes of purchasing a hot tub online, I decided to visit a series of retail stores in the San Diego area. I have to say thank you to Sam for answering my questions and honestly helping me clear up and understand conflicting information I received on visitation circuit.

I also thank Sam for respectfully persuading me from relying on dry test, and encouraging me to bring my wife to the store and letting both of us wet test the Hot tubs. Sam removed the awkward feeling that we perceived by shopping in swim suits.

Once our decision was made, we appreciated Sam not trying to up sell additional features and upgrades. The sale write up was exactly what we agreed to buy.

After the sale, I want to thank the delivery team. They were prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and placed the hot tub exactly where we had anticipated.

I also have to thank the technician, Cesar. After the sale, San Diego Hot Spring sends out a technician (at no charge) to orient the new buyers to their Spa. Cesar was our technician. He not only performed an outstanding orientation, he diagnosed an issue with the hot tub’s motherboard. He secured a replacement motherboard and installed it 2 days later. (Again at no charge).

Lastly, I want to give a call out to Josh. San Diego Hot Springs offers a Water Care class. Josh taught our class. He was informative, organized and took time to answer all questions.

In summary this my experience with San Diego Hot Springs and their staff. A well deserved 5 stars to...

We've had a great experience with SD Hot Springs so far. Hector, at the showroom, was very informative during our shopping process and kept us updated on tubs available. Fortunately, the model and color came in that we wanted; unfortunately, we had to pay the $1k upcharge for not ordering and waiting months for it to come in. But we were aware of that going into it. So that was our decision. The delivery was smooth and start up fairly easy. We purchase the Flare with salt water system. We did have a couple of panels come 2 toned ( probably due to supply shortages during COVID) and the service department is working on getting us corrected panels. We have still been able to use the tub since delivery October 2021. We are happy with the Flare model and really happy we didn't get a model with a 'laying down' seat. We also like the bench step inside this model. Comes in handy for grandkids seat without jets and adults sitting there to take a break from the heat. Our guests have loved...
