I went to Walmart prior the other day to look for nails. I was trying to localize the nails but I couldn’t, so as anyone would typically do I said, “excuse me”, to the nearest Walmart employee there whom was evidently available. The Walmart employee which was a lady with tattoos around 5 foot something just eye balled me and kept walking. Until I then told my question she stopped to listen. It seemed as if that worker forgot she was working there because it looked like she thought to herself I was about to say something offending to her because she had that negligent look of ignorance. I asked her simply and easily, “Do you know at what area does Walmart sell small nails?”. For some reason the employee just gave a light sneaky chuckle. She replied in, “what?”. I said my question again and she again just looked offended and said “what?” as she’s sort of giving a sneaky laugh trying to make fun of me for frivolous reasons, she even spoke in a louder tone. I’m not sure if that employee can’t understand basic English but I repeated my question again since I felt sympathetic to this A0 English learner, or as a bonus she wasn’t wearing her cochlear implants that day. I finally had to repeat my question again for the 3rd time and she understood at last. I hope Walmart really looks over their employees because it seems they didn’t learn as well in school with their language just as they don’t even comprehend their tasks that they’re required to do since they chose that job. I understand it’s stressful at times to work but that doesn’t mean the employees should lack diligence to their job. It’s absurd to see Walmart employees not follow basic tasks. Also this other day I asked where the pencil sharpeners are to an employee, she just said they’re over there near the TVs. I asked her to show me personally and she just said they’re at the TVs, she just kept repeating herself .What kind of customer service is this? Absolutely asinine behavior. The manager should really give a Ted talk to his or her employees and figure something out to improve...
Read moreWalmart Escondido scam the corporate equivalent of shoplifting.
I guess our first mistake was shopping at Walmart. We usually shop at target. We purchased a bunch of items. The cashier was swapping with another cashier and busy talking about whether they were gonna get their hours this week. Seems he made a mistake and forgot to put the final bag full of items up for us to take. Though I do wonder now if Walmart may inadvertently intend to do this. We also missed that he failed to give it to us with the other bags. Mistakes happen on both sides but that wasn’t the issue.
After getting home, we realized they didn’t give us the bag. We had the receipt and tried calling the store they never answered it just rang and rang until an automated system finally said “all of our assistance are busy. Thanks for being understanding. Call back another time”.
We drove all the way back to the store, went to customer service and found that they did have a log that the bag was left with all the items. But the bag wasn’t there.
This is where the scam starts and in reality it is where the corporate equivalent of shoplifting comes out. It seems they put all of our stuff away and logged them as returned to inventory. They didn’t even hold the bag for an hour for a customer to come back and get it.
The items were returned to inventory to be sold a second time. They did this without even giving the customer a credit as they had the full transaction number, including the credit card we used. They have a system they use to protect themselves that could’ve easily just have returned the items to my credit card but instead they returned the items to their inventory system to be sold again, cheating customers.
When I asked for the manager, he just shrugged his shoulders when I asked for the regional manager, I got a generic corporate phone number.
I wouldn’t shop at this Walmart and if you do, I would keep your receipt and assume they are going to try...
Read moreMade this a 2 star from a 1 star because of the fishing department. This store is huge and has all the basic clothing, foods & drinks you'd want to buy and also the technologies, sports gear, fishing and home care products you'd want and u see the pile of products in your cart are ready to be bought and so you get in line to buy it all.. . . . . .and that's when you realize Walmart doesn't want you to buy any of it because at the end of the 50 person line you're in there's an elderly person manning the 6 "self checkout" machines ...and 5 of the machines are "card only" and there's 2 ppl at self registers that need help and that's where attention is. So hurry up and wait.. Then there is 1 or at the most 2 registers with a human to scan your purchases and there's 50 ppl split netween them and you're at the end. Let's be clear. The fishing isle has a register and those ppl will help u checkout immediately but the front of house people know they are the gate keepers and there are 7 or 8 of them total while a few hundred guests wonder around seeking to buy the goods in their carts and it's absolutely an ugly situation because there is no register to go to. . In fact on a daily basis there are more Salvation Army, March Of Dimes, Free kittens and hobos at the door ready to take your money than there are Walmart employees available to help you rid yourself of your cash. Maybe we should be grateful? When you want to buy an orange t-shirt but find its locked in a glass security case the same as medications...you realize this is a circus and it's embarrassing to be a customer. Oh, lastly. After you're forced to be your own cashier you're then no longer trusted and must show your receipt to prove you were a good unpaid walmart employee who checked themselves out and...
