I needed a simple but still beautiful white lace dress to get married in. I went to the Windsor at Parkway Plaza mall in el cajon. I walked in and looked at a couple dresses. When i found the ONE I was excited to try it on. They had a Large and a Small. Of course... Just my luck I needed the Medium. After trying on the Large I knew it was just perfect! Just needed that Medium. So I went to the register and had the girl look up the store at Plaza Bonita. She said they have a medium and gave me the style # for that dress. I called them that night and the gal on the phone said she had a medium and would hold it until tomorrow. The next day I left work an hour early to drive in traffic (the opposite way) down to the mall. As I waited in line to get onto the freeway I decided to call to check to make sure they still had it on hold. When I called the girl that answered said "oh sorry the girls that worked last night must have put all the dresses back"... I was like seriously.?? She said hold on let me check. When she came back to the phone she says "oh yeah we have 1 medium here... BUT... It has a small hole in the front, is that okay?" I was in complete shock and said "NO thats NOT okay!" Im glad I called before driving down there or I would have been so upset!! The girl then told me I can call the Escondido store to check with them. As I got out of line to go down there I ended up driving home. On my way I called the Escondido store and talked to a very pleasant woman named Meghan. I explained this whole fiasco to her and she sincerely apologized. I gave her the style # of the dress and she asked me what it looked like. I explained it to her in detail and she then put me on hold to go see if she could find it. The first time she came back she described the dress to me but that wasn't it... Then she asked me to describe it a little more and then she goes "OH I know exactly which dress your looking for hold on" When she came back to the phone she said "we have it and its a medium!" I was so happy I said great!! I aksed her if she could hold onto it and I will come up once traffic isn't so crazy. She said No worries I will put it on hold.. Even if I couldn't make it in tonight I can come tomorrow. I said "No" I don't want to chance this again after everything. She said No worries I am going to bag it and place it in the back tonight so nobody will touch it. When I got home I convinced my fiance to drive me up there to pick up this dress. He complied and took me up there. When I walked into the store I was amazed at how big it was. When I walked to the counter the woman that was working (Meghan) was standing there with a smile on her face.. I said hi.. Meghan? Im Kristen we spoke earlier about the dress. She said "yes" its right here. She then proceeded to hand me a bag with the dress and what happened next completely took CUSTOMER SERVICE to a whole other level. She says "After everything that happened to you the last couple days, no bride should ever have to stress that much about their wedding" "Don't worry this dress has been taken care of" As I stand there... Kind of confused for a second.. I said "what"..? She said she purchsed the dress for me!! I literally said "are you serious!?!" And started to CRY (happy tears) I have NEVER in my life... In all my customer service jobs and experiences EVER been treated so kindly.. Especially by a stranger who went above and beyond to help another stranger out by doing something so selfless and KIND! After wiping my tears away she opened me a room to try it on. As I am trying it on she comes to check on me and helped me zip it up. She told me I looked beautiful.. and I felt BEAUTIFUL in it. She was just so amazing I couldn't stop crying (happy tears) I must have given her like 10 hugs I was just in shock still. Meghan is the PERFECT example of how customer service should be done. Not just by paying for it.. But by generally caring about someones problems enough to take action and make it right! I will always remember her. THANK YOU MEGHAN!!!! You're...
Read moreI usually don't write negative reviews, but today was the first time I've felt discriminated against and profiled while shopping at a store. I was shopping for a dress to wear to my white coat ceremony this weekend and had previously stopped at Macy's before entering Windsor. I bought a cute dress at Macy's that cost $120, but I wanted to keep shopping in case I found another dress that caught my eye. When I arrived, I just looked around and picked out two dresses, a pair of black dress pants, and a cute top to try on. I walked to the fitting room, and as soon as I told the white blonde sales associate that I had four items in my hand she looked at me up and down and then looked at my shopping bag from Forever 21, which I had just bought a jacket from. She then gave me a room and was about to place the four items in the fitting room when she said that she was not going to let me take in the top for some reason and to get it after I try on the dresses. I already knew what was running through this ignorant girl's mind, but I decided to brush it off. Then she brings back the shirt out of nowhere and gives it to me in the room that I was trying clothes in. I tried on the dresses, pants, and shirt and debated on purchasing one of the dresses. However, the way I was being treated at that point had already turned me off and I decided I did not want to purchase anything from this store. I then get out of the fitting room and look for the same girl to give the clothes to. She wasn't there, so I hung all four items on the rack they have close to the fitting room. I start walking out of the store when the same rude employee comes walking out after me, asking where I had put the clothes. By this time, I was almost already out the door and knew exactly what this employee was thinking. I told her I had hung them outside on the rack, and she still responded with "where." I could not believe the words coming out of her mouth and was extremely annoyed at this point. I came back in and walked back towards the fitting room to show this ignorant employee where I left the four items, and on the way back, she still asked me, "you didn't like anything? They were so cute". I let her know that I was shopping for my white coat ceremony dress and that I had already bought a dress and did not like anything that I tried on. After she realized that the clothes were on the rack, she tried playing it off and offered to help find me a dress. No thanks! I'd rather not shop somewhere where I'm going to be profiled by some imbecile. Instead of profiling your potential customers, why don't you pick up the clothes off the floor and fold them since those are the only set of...
Read moreIf there was an option of giving this place a zero I would, because that's the kind of customer service I received while being in this store for less than 5 minutes. And let me just be clear, it was only one employee in particular. As I was looking at some dresses this very rude employee walks past me and bumps me, as she is walking very fast. I didn't think much of it until she clearly said "Excuse YOU" in the rudest way possible. Here's the thing, it wasn't the fact that she bumped into me, it was the fact that she rudely said what she said. I've had great experiences in this place before, but because of this, I plan on never buying anything from there again. I didn't get her name, but let me just say that I remember faces quite well, so if I see her again I'll be...
