Center Market — Local services in Espanola

I have really enjoyed Center Market since I was little, their just awesome👍 And the only Grocery store that has ever been around And I should know I'm over 40.. I can still remember the previous owners Mr. Pete Chiello and how my grandparents and parents loved shopping here. Mr. Chello was a very committed Buisness owner to his staff and his customers and even would announce on our local radio station KDCE the weekly ads.. This smaller owned Grocery store has my heart💓, it may be not as fancy as the other chained stores but the employees are friendly and the Meat that's what I love and go for and let's not forget the Rotisserie area that's just awesome👌, especially if you had a hard day of work and dont feel like cooking it's fast ,convenient and delicious! I really loved the Bakery, however in the past they had a bit more beautiful cakes they use to make , don't get me wrong its a very very good bakery and we love there breads, but the past had a bit better cakes.. Some of the older generation just had it and were abit more committed. That's another thing Center Market still has employees that still have the courtesy to help coustomers take the groceries to their vehicles just like the good old days, that's just wonderful, and we wanted to say to You The Owner and employees we love your store. Thank you Center Market!! (Just one thing We'd love to see again, we would love to see those side walk sales.....

Four times in the past three weeks I have found employees in the bakery and in the meat department not wearing masks properly or not at. The cake decorator constantly pulling her mask down if it covers her nose. I've seen her with her nose exposed three times. Meat cutter with mask not covering his nose bending over the meat display. Today a female employee with her mask completely off her face in the baked goods next to the deli. All incidents have been reported to management including Efren but yet this continues. Today an employee followed me down an aisle and proceeded to yell at me to get my attention. Wanted to know who was not wearing a mask. I had to tell her to not raise her voice at me. I could not identify the employee because no one is wearing a name badge. She demanded to know if I go in just to snitch on employees. I informed that as an individual that is high risk with asthma and diabetes and I care for an elder at home who is even more delicate. The first employee I spoke to actually tried to give me excuses about not wearing masks. Really?! These people handle food all day! Up until now I felt that store was the safest to shop at in Española. Would like to make contact with the new owner of the store since management doesn't seem to think this...

Saw an advertisement online saying they were roasting green chile from 9am-4pm. I went at 3pm and they said that they didn’t have anyone to roast the chile, I mentioned about the post I had seen online and they switched it up to “stopped due to the rain”. Mind you it wasn’t even raining anymore by that point. So which one one is? Very misleading and terrible customer service, drove 30 min just to be told this.

Edit: decided to give them a chance again and… the disappointment. I called to see if they were roasting chile and they said yes till 4pm. The said that they could roast it for me and have it ready by the time I went by. Thank goodness that I called before driving out. They didn’t have it ready and they were not roasting anymore.
