Food is good sometimes but very expensive. The Mexican street tacos corn tortillas fall apart, so you end up having to eat your tacos with a fork. It gets pretty messy, too, so you need a lot of napkins. The Carne Asada burrito comes with a ton of rice and beans and hardly any meat in it. The ribs are dry sometimes also. The employees that work there are extremely nice but don't speak alot of English and only speak Spanish which is difficult for me because I don't understand hardly any Spanish and it can get hard communicating to them what you would like to eat and any preferences you might have. They do the best that they can, and I respect that. The location is right in the middle of Espanola, and they have nice and clean benches and tables, which some have a canopy over them, and some don't. Giving you the option to sit in the sun or in the shade. Last time my friend and I went to eat there. He ordered 4 Carne Asada Street tacos and rice and beans and a Coca-Cola in a bottle, and I ordered a Carne Asada burrito with a can of Green Tea. The total for everything was $42 and some change. I thought that this was way too much money for what we had ordered. I will say this however. .. they make the best...

Ummm this isn't Oakland. The plate had no avocado or guacamole, no sour cream, and I got a roast jalapeno and a cup of salsa Verde for the extra charge (for green chile). The server was ready to go. Maybe the breakfast and lunch is more generous, but I wonder how they stay in business.
There's a giant barbecue there so they must make some good stuff, but I showed up too late to get a fair price on their specialty dish I guess. The tacos were literally just chopped dried out roasted chicken in two corn tortillas with a scoop of rice and scoop of beans with absolutely no cheese anywhere. Not pollo asado and not topped with cilantro, pico or anything either. I must be missing something here. Not impressed with anything...
Read moreHoly wow. We stopped on our way back to CO from Santa Fe. I ordered the carnitas burrito and it was off the charts delicious. Potentially one of the best burritos I’ve ever eaten and thats a big statement.
The tortilla was soft and perfect. The meat was tender. The flavor was so good that I forgot to put on the red sauce until I was 1/2 way through, and I LOVE sauce.
My husband got the breakfast burrito and he said it was good but mine was the clear winner. They had a smoker going w real fire so assuming they prepare the meats on site.
The outside is clean with a handful of tables. The painted tires as planters and decor are super cute. My son had room to run around.
I’d come back in a second and next time I’d take one to...
