Alterations by Debbie — Local services in Eureka

Debbie and her staff are super nice; however, I brought in a bridesmaid dress about a month and a half before the wedding and it was not done until the week of the wedding. I had very small adjustments that were to be done: push-up bra and changing the side straps to be over-the-shoulder. At the fitting the alterations felt great; however, once I got the dress back with the alternations applied it barely felt like they altered the straps. When I picked up the dress, they were open to assist if there was something wrong with the dress, but since I was only able to pick up the dress 2 days before the wedding and did not live very close, I had zero time to coordinate a second round of alterations. For the price I paid, the time I waited for the dress to be done, and the amount of bobby pins I had to use to adjust the main alternation I am very disappointed and will not be back. The photo attached is how much fabric that had to be pinned for each strap in order to make the dress feel like it did at the initial alterations for the wedding. It’s way too much fabric that had to still be pulled for the price they charged. We are so thankful we found Debbie and couldn't be more pleased with her work! She clearly knows what she is doing but also clearly enjoys it. She paid attention to details we didn't know to care about, she gave good advice- not only when it came to the altering of the wedding dress but also hair and veil, how to bustle the dress, suggesting jewelry. Her work was exquisite and we were stunned to see a dress my daughter already loved become even more beautiful because of the alterations in styling and sizing. The dress was finished as promised, even a garment bag and little sewing kit. The new shop is gorgeous and I am so glad Debbie and her staff have more room to do their amazing work. Additionally, her daughter Hailey, of Still Her Dress did beautiful handiwork as well. I had a robe made from my wedding dress for my daughter to get ready in the day of the wedding. It came out beautifully! Hailey also made a bridal hairpiece for my daughter out of the extra lace from the dress. What impressed me about both of these things was that Hailey enjoyed the design part, and then used her skill to create 2 beautiful and meaningful heirloom pieces. I needed my dress altered and fitted properly as I had around a week to find a place to get this done.(My dress shipped late) I had called three other places without any response Only because they were closer to where I lived, then I called Deb And she told me that I could come in that day. She was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She knew exactly what I needed and how to do it. It turned out perfect. ❤️ She was very nice and professional, and the price was very reasonable. I did not know the first thing about altering my dress, but there was no reason for me to know because she knew exactly what I wanted and how to do it, she even showed me Other options on how my sleeves could Look. She took in the dress about 3to4 sizes because it was too big, fixed my sleeves, loaned me a hoop skirt and made my wedding dress look gorgeous on me!
