I had not been to a salon in over 2 years since Covid, and I thought I'd try a new place. I found LookAfter online and noticed the prices were "somewhat" reasonable (salons just aren't cheap anywhere you go), and so I gave them a try. I opted for a Full highlight treatment and haircut, which at the time of my online appointment would have been $115...not too bad but still not cheap. I had a very nice stylist and she did a great job on my highlights and cut, it's exactly what I was expecting. The only concern is when I went to pay, my total ended up being $135 before the tip. I thought it was odd, but then again I figured taxes were a factor but when I got my receipt it only showed the total amount (including the tip). To clear up any confusion, I called the salon to see what I was charged for and apparently there is an extra $15 charge if the stylist has to use an additional "bowl" of color. Fine...the issue is that I was never told nor saw a second bowl of color while she was doing my highlights. The gal on the phone apologized and politely asked if I wanted the stylist who did my hair to call me to explain the charge b/c she wasn't there at the time (as if that matters?). At this point, what was done was done and I didn't want to make a big deal over $15 and told the gal that I had the information I needed...I was charged extra for something that was not used. I suppose even if the stylist would have had to use another bowl, I would have agreed to the charge. But by not simply letting me know or explaining it when I checked out, pretty much tells me that maybe I made the wrong choice in going there and probably won't be back for...
Read moreI made an appointment for 6:30 pm and I was clear that I could not get there sooner than that. I explained exactly what I needed and the person who answered the phone said no problem and see you at 6:30 pm. Get there right at 6:30 pm & found out the person had me down for 6:15 pm. The stylist said I was late 15 minutes. I explained what was said on the phone & she said she was not exactly happy with Frankie because she did not schedule me right & stated the girl is new & just graduated from beauty school. Even though it was their error the stylist refused to dye my hair because I was late based off what was put in their system. So I told her to cancel my appointment & I was taking my business else where because I my schedule around the time I was told and and I’m the one that walks away unhappy and it’s not my fault regardless! I’m never going there again! I found Trashy Roots in Washington, MO that got me in & they were super nice and...
Read moreThis place is so extremely slow there were two people ahead of me with normal haircut waited 2 hours before I decide to leave and the staff brought in their pets and were playing with their pets while they were giving haircuts so very unprofessional. Maybe you should turn your shop into a dog grooming place if you're going to have pets inside the store instead of cut people's hair. Hopefully management can address the fact that whether you think your dog is cute or not it does not belong in a place where you cut people's hair. I have been getting my hair cut at this place for several years and however the service has always been very slow and relax like the location was convenient for me but now I'm going to have to shop elsewhere to have my haircut and I will suggest to all my friends...
