So far my experience with Seminole Powersports North in Eustis, Fl has been excellent. My relationship with them began when I ordered my 2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2 from Dan Brown, one of the salesmen there. The excruciating informationless seven month long wait was tempered by Dan's attentiveness, always quick to respond to any questions/issues I had. He would often take it upon himself to try to get me updates from Kawasaki as well. I feel comfortable saying that over the course of the seven months, Dan and I genuinely became friends, and now I cannot see myself going anywhere else for products that he offers. I even had him do some painting for me... as he also owns his own custom painting business (Dan Brown Paintworks).
Finally after seven months and and a ton of pissing and moaning, the bike arrived at the dealership. That was the first time that I had the opportunity to meet Ken Ward (the GM) and Mike Mcmanus, the service manager... amongst others. Everyone was very polite, and interested in what was happening.
Ken had the unopened crate ready and waiting for me in the showroom, and Dan handed me the box cutter to cut into the crate myself. This was a very special experience, one that they did not have to provide.
Everyone there treated me like a valued customer, down to Brandon Singer (the business manager) who did not try to cram every warranty and tire replacement plan down my throat. Brandon was professional, yet conversational, and gave me the leaway to decide when and where I want to buy my extended warranty without making me feel like I was screwing him out of a commission.
The entire staff exuded a sense of comradery, which gave me the impression that Ken Ward is doing something right. I get the feeling that Ken has created a working environment that everyone seems to enjoy; or at least one where the staff values their job, and appreciates being there.
Finally, I had a problem with the bike, which was cause for a warranty claim. I put the claim in with Mike Mcmanus (service manager), and from the moment we spoke on the phone, Mike was all business getting the warranty claim opened and approved. I have never seen a service department move more rapidly and more surgically to get my problem resolved with as little pain as possible. Mike was in touch with me via email after every correspondence with Kawasaki, not giving me anytime to wonder if anyone was working on my problem or not. Additionally, I was all uptight about how long it was going to take to make my new baby right again, but Mike was able to expedite shipping from Kawasaki...icing on the cake that I did not ask for or expect, but that I truly appreciate.
I have been riding motorcycles for over twenty five years and I have owned more than twenty different bikes. Ninety percent of them were purchased new or barely used from a dealer as well. So, it should go without saying that I have had my share of experiences with dealerships that either take advantage of their customers, or who fail their customers out of shear complacency or incompetence.
So far, this dealership has demonstrated that they are a "cut above", and their interest in exemplary customer service and attention to detail is...
Read moreI called around to numerous dealerships when I was shopping for a side by side but ultimately chose to put a deposit on one through Seminole Powersports North. It wasn’t because they were the closest dealership to me, because they weren’t (2 hours away), it was because of the person I talked to there. Right from the start Dan took the time to explain everything to me, what they had coming in, the differences in the machines, timeframes for delivery, warranty, every single detail, and he did it professionally without ever making me feel like he was busy or needing to move to the next customer. I did not get that from many of the other dealerships I called. I ultimately put a deposit down on a side by side with an approximate delivery date given by the manufacturer. With the times we are in currently with supply chain issues across the board, it ended up being delivered later than anticipated by the manufacturer. Needless to say I called Dan numerous times to see if there was an update and of course I always had more questions for him and he was always the same as our first conversation, professional, honest even if there wasn’t something positive to report, and attentive. I felt like I was his only customer even though I knew he had many. The side by side was delivered and everyone at the dealership was very helpful. I was introduced to the service folks who went over many things in the owners manual and took any questions that I had, then I met with the parts and accessories department where they answered any questions I had about accessories, products to maintain the side by side, and helmets. Then the actual purchase process was incredibly well explained and fast. The next day Dan reached out to me to see how I was liking the side by side. Following up with customers after the sale is done, in my opinion, is true professionalism and not enough people do it anymore. So I really appreciated that. I have no doubt that should I have more questions or if any issues come up, that Dan and the folks at Seminole Powersports North will take care of it. They don’t treat you like just another customer, they treat you more like a friend that is doing their best to help you with what you want or need. There is a lot more I could say but ultimately, I had a very good experience dealing with Seminole Powersports North and cannot recommend Dan enough. They have my business going forward and I have recommended Dan to family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else I have been in conversation with about the side by side or has expressed interest in anything that they sell and will...
Read moreSeminole was prompt and courteous. Andrew happened to be the salesman to ultimately fulfill my order of two Sea-Doo spark units. Our original salesman made a mistake on our order but Andrew was there to make up for the mistake in a huge way. We were extremely satisfied by their efforts and will absolutely buy from them again once we buy our next jet ski. Thank you Andrew and thank you Seminole power sports. Update: I had to bring my sea Doo sparks in for their one year recommended oil changes. It cost me nearly $1000 to have the oil changed on two jet skis. I looked up an oil change kit on Amazon and found a SEADOO brand oil change kit for $68. It included the oil filter, the oil, and the o-ring for the filter. I was appalled that this was the price, which was not disclosed when I dropped the skis off. Now, this is where it gets really bad. I picked the skis up and took them to the gulf where we spent a few hours on the water. I brought them home, cleaned them and then stored them as I usually do. We took them out once again to the Clermont lakes for maybe two hours. Once again, I took them home, cleaned them and stored them. We went to take them out a third time and I noticed oil on my garage floor. When I looked under, there was oil all over the bottom of one of my skis. So I opened the side compartment and shined a flashlight in and saw that the entire bottom of the hull was a pool of oil. There was absolutely NO oil left in the engine. I immediately called Seminole and told them what had happened. They made it sound like it was going to be considered my fault since we had taken our skis out twice. But they told me to bring them in. They discovered that they failed to install the o-ring on the filter. I literally would have blown the engine on my ski if I hadn't noticed the oil. For $500 to do the simplest of all service appointments, this is absolutely unacceptable. The should have reimbursed me for my travel time. I would have even given the money back for the oil change if I were the manager. Instead, they really weren't even friendly about the situation, like I was causing them an inconvenience. I have never changed a five star review to a one star but there is a first time for everything. I will...
