The same selection on food which is why you go to Golden Corral. The bit of food I could stomach was good but the food bars were a mess and the place wasn't clean nor organized. There was a HUGE pile of boxes behind the register of straws and napkins, falling all over the place. The floors were sticky and the whole place (especially the air vents) needed a good dusting. I went with my daughter to our plates and we went through 1 stack to find a good plate that still didnt have food stuck on it and I had to ask for new forks because ours had crusted food still as well (ps, please get new plates, cups and silverware.) The grill master SNEEZED on the food. (He was Behind a little window) I turned around and didnt take any meat. Behind the dessert station I saw a roach 😭 and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in forever and those appliances were BLACK. Yes, it's a restaurant and yes They are used daily but that's not a reason to have them looking like that. Not to mention that our waitress Maria was a bit rude. She also got into my conversation with my 6yr old and scolded me for "not allowing her to order herself", something that wasn't any of her business and when I told her that she wanted to hush me. When it was time to go she overheard me telling my husband "gram is left the tip cause I only have card" (we were walking almost to the cashier to leave) and this lady came and screamed "hey tom! This lady needs to cash out! This one walking with the yellow top" never have I been so embarrassed. I'll never go back. Gave 2 stars just because the 3 bites of food I ate tasted alright. I love golden corral but this one is one that I'll NEVER give...
Read moreMy 10 month old daughter got ecoli from eating at this resurant, it has been confirmed through a stool sample. The health department has been notified. Myself and my husband witnessed them Putting ROTTEN steak on the grill and rotten stawberries in the salad bar some of them had white mildew or mold on them. We called the store owner to inform him of the situation after calling the corprate location as well as well as the store owner we finally recieved a call back from him, we had a party of 6 so the owner OFFERED us two free meals per person that was in our party. We brought him the paperwork proving that my baby had food poisoning and informed him that we still had not recieved our free vouchers, he said that we should have recieved them and that he would be sure that they got put in the mail by the end of the day. Today i called and left a message for him informing that it has been over yet another week and we still havent recieved the vouchers that HE OFFERED, we never asked for anything from them just to realize what was goin on in his store and take care of it before they kill someone. An hour or so later his mommy called us saying the she WOULD NOT be sending us the free vouchers and that we were tryin to exploit her. She said that if we went back to the syore she would be callin the police!!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER EAT AT THE EUSTIS FL LOCATION AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE FOOD OR PEOPLE THAT THEY SERVE!!!!!!! And to be honest I am afraid to eat at any Golden Corral location due to this...

Catfish & baked (Whiting/Cod??), popcorn shrimp - (and all FRIED foods - lol) tasty! Service great as usual!! Sad, such a drive to go to GC. Need more locations to return. Definitely not ANYTHING to feel unsafe about!! If the prices could hold at those of 15+ years ago, we'd be there several times/week. 😂 (2 months ago): Service was great! We like Ms. Ruth!! WAY too heavy with sodium on most menu items anymore. Not for HBP sensitive persons.
GC used to be excellent a decade to 2 ago, however it seems food over the last several years or so, seems to be too commercial, processed, generic, pre-prepared/prepackaged/then heated tasting, rather than the good ol' fashioned, made from scratch, homemade recipes they used to have and boast. Not too happy!
Seems (perhaps incorrectly so) to be mostly attracting senior, lifelong loyal, and other customer bases, who perhaps either do not know how or prefer not to, cook for themselves, opting instead for a quick ready-made meal w/ plenty of variety, vs. the widely diverse customer base they once had of everyday folk who were just looking for great homestyle cooking like perhaps they grew up on with lots of options to boot.
They used to also serve that good ol' Chocolate Chess Pie daily, however it's unfortunately no longer available during the breakfast menu each time we've visited, sad to say.
Just one old man's...
