SECOND REVIEW 12/22/24. Ordered the classic eggs Benedict. Instead of using DD, my husband decided to go get our order. After sitting in the restaurant for over 20 minutes, the order was brought out to him. He drove home (less than 5 minutes) and we sat down to eat. My order was cold, my husband's was barely warm. I had asked for hollandaise on the side - NOPE - dumped on the eggs and then slid off to the side. My potatoes were soggy and cold. And to top it all - the eggs were cooked solid. No egg yolk ooze that is hallmark of eggs Benedict. My LAST order from iHop. Denny's is just down the road. Their eggs Benedict are actually quite good. If you're considering eating at iHop think again. Take the few extra steps to Denny's!!
Ordered the Lemon Ricotta blueberry crepes for delivery. My husband ordered a breakfast bowl. The delivery was fast (by Doordash) but I was so disappointed in my food. First, the blueberries didn't make it into the crepes, or even on top. Second, the "ricotta" cheese didn't taste like ricotta, and worse, whatever they added to the white stuff in and on the crepes was very grainy. It actually tastes like they added flour instead of powdered sugar. Third, the filling was scarce. This actually was a blessing because of the texture and taste of the white stuff. This is not a good representation of iHop food. Denny's is an option for us because it's just as close as iHop. Also, my husband called to tell them about the issues with our food, receiving NO help from iHop - the woman that my husband talked to told him to call Doordash - they have to adjust our bill, iHop (even though they cooked and boxed the food) takes no responsibility for these issues. I can't figure...
Read moreNever in my life have I received such poor service. On a Friday night there was one server for the entire restaurant. We had to seat ourselves and weren't greeted for over 10 minutes as she passed by us, looking us over and never coming to the table. Then was she does come and we place our drink orders(two waters) and meal orders( two wraps) we proceed to wait another 15 minutes. 25/30 minutes in total never getting a drink. A table before us with six people never got drinks either, one of the women had to walk into the kitchen and get the drinks herself. A man stood at the front door for 20 minutes just waiting to pay. A family of 3 walked in and waited to be seated for 10 minutes before just walking out. It was not nearly busy enough to warrant that kind of service. 4 tables in the entire restaurant. The waitress seemed nice but very out of it, slow, and oblivious about how to do her job. She passed by us so many times and never thought to bring a drink as she strolled through the restaurant. We ended up just leaving and going elsewhere. I never leave bad reviews and as a former server myself I know what the job is like on good and bad days. There was no excuse for that whatsoever. It was clear how unhappy the few tables in there were, but there was no manager to tell, nothing we could do about it. This location needs to reevaluate how it runs and the staff it selects because in all my years I have never had to walk out and I've never seen so many people unhappy while a server blatantly...
Read moreMy wife and I dropped in for a quick lunch yesterday. Our quick lunch turned into an hour long disaster. There were a handful of people in the restaurant, I wouldn't call it busy. The waitress seated us, and then disappeared for more than 15 minutes. Her saving grace was another waitress who asked if we had ordered drinks yet. We ordered our drinks, which were brought out rather quickly. However, our waitress walked up and asked what we wanted to drink... WITH DRINKS ON THE TABLE. We ordered our food, which came out wrong. My wife got her waffle, minutes later I got my food. I had finished my meal before my wife received hers. My eggs were not cooked like I asked, there was half a stick of butter on my eggs, (which I soaked up with a napkin), and my wife's meal was missing her bacon. I had finished my glass of orange juice halfway through my meal, but not a single person stopped by our table to check on us, or ask if wanted a refill. I waited approximately 20 minutes before anyone even stopped by our table. We expressed our frustrations and were told, "you should have flagged me down." First of all, no. You should check in on us. Second of all, where were you to flag down?! Do you expect me to walk into the kitchen and get you? We did get a discounted bill of 20% for the missing bacon. I didn't leave a tip. Horrible service, horrible food, horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN. Denny's is right across...
