Ashley Store — Local services in Evansville

I am placing this review on Google in regards to the Ashley Furniture store in Evansville, In. The service at the store itself was decent. Our sales person helped us select our furniture. He told us it would be available in 2 and a 1/2 weeks. By the beginning of the 4th week we ended up having to call the store. The woman who answered the phone informed us that someone should have contacted us to set up an appointment for delivery. They hadn't even contacted us to set up an appointment to get our furniture yet, so by me calling I suppose that is the only reason we got an appointment! Our furniture arrived in a huge truck with Ashley furniture written very large on the side of it. 2 young men were in charge of bringing our furniture inside. They brought in one couch with no issues, when it came to the larger of the 2 couches, once they got inside I noticed that the back was broken. Before my husband even got home from work, I called him to let him know that our brand new $2000 couch was already damaged. Keep in mind that we also purchased an EXTRA warranty on these couches! He got on the phone immediately and called Ashley Furniture and they informed us that a broken couch has nothing to do with the furniture store itself and all of that fault was put on the 2 delivery men who carried our couches inside. Ashley Furniture also informed us that once it leaves their store they are no longer liable for the damage done to our couch. Which I found ironic that the "non Ashley furniture affiliated people" who delivered it, had Ashley furniture written on the side of their truck. To me it does not make sense to say you do not still guarantee your furniture once it gets into the delivery truck!? They informed us the only way to have our couch repaired was to send all of our living room furniture back which in our mind was ridiculous considering the circumstances, and also the thought of waiting another 4 to 5 weeks for it to come in seemed even more ridiculous. My husband was a little upset about this and actually mentioned something to the woman about sending all of our furniture back and we would go elsewhere. The woman on the phone who represents Ashley furniture told my husband "that's fine if that's what you want to do, we will have somebody come pick it up right away" and offered no other resolve to this problem. I would highly recommend that NOBODY go to Ashley furniture. We have found crappy service, their stuff is way overpriced for what you get, and the customer service is absolutely horrible. They are a major rip off and we will never ever if they were the last furniture store on Earth buy another thing from them again! VERY DISAPPOINTED, shame on you Ashley Furniture! I rather enjoy giving great reviews! Me and my husband visited multiple furniture stores in the tristate area looking for a california king bedroom suit. Very hard to find! We were tired of looking but we decided to visit Ashley store in Evansville 2hrs away from our home in Kentucky. We were greeted by Nicole Becker at the entrance. First and foremost, I am asking Ashley furniture store to give Nicole a bonus and a raise! She is extremely knowledgeable about the furniture sold at Ashley. I was shocked at this little ladies knowledge of all things Ashley! She took the time to listen and hear us. What I mean by this is that she didn't try to sell us something we didn't want. Although we went looking for bedroom furniture, we bought both a bedroom and leather living room suit. We were shown several sets by Nicole and we found exactly what we wanted. We went through the financing options, 12mos no interest! That works for us and our humble income. We received a call to schedule our delivery for Thursday 23 May 24. Thursday morning we received a call informing us that our furniture was on the way with an eta of 1.5 hours. The drivers arrived 5 minutes early which was awesome! They were professional, considerate and very helpful. They set everything up, exactly where we wanted. Its beautiful! Well folks, the store is full of furniture, beautiful furniture! The experience was a great one! I highly recommend this business!!! Honest reviewer Plenty of parking Clean store and clean bathrooms. Handicap parking and access to bldg. This review is for our time inside the store picking out our living room furniture and Not for the furniture itself or the delivery process.

To start with it takes me a very long time to make decisions on furniture with the many options to pick from. That being said we greatly appreciated that our sales rep, Shelbi, was not pushy and frequently walked away to give us time to sit/lay and discuss what we thought about it. She never seemed frustrated about me asking several questions and still not having made a decision. We were there at least 2 hours if not longer and finally decided which couch, love seat and bookcase to purchase. Of course my spouse is a sleep-on-it kind of person soo told Shelbi I’d come by after work the next day to finalize. I asked if she would be there and she said, “I can be”. Come to find out it was her day off but she was adamant she didn’t mind coming in on her day off saying, “I have nothing else planned anyway LOL“. By the time I made it to the store after work she had almost all the paperwork done. I think I was in the store for a total of 10 minutes and half of that was just waiting for a cashier to be available to take my payment.

Although the other sales reps we came in contact with were very nice, we will definitely always ask for Shelbi when we come back in to Ashley‘s.
