Mission BBQ is Always A Positive, Delicious Place to eat, and does more for the Military Veterans than any other business in town. If you are looking for BBQ, Mission BBQ, with the Huge Military Truck out front on Green River Road is the place to be! I have Never Been Disappointed at Mission. All the people there are very friendly, and are not afraid to talk to the guests. You are going to find Real Food here, no processed garbage. Check out these delicious meals the wife and I had a couple days ago, and looking forward to going back really soon. Mission also honors Veterans, and the National Anthem is played Daily at Noon! Nobody in Town takes better care of the Military Veterans than Mission BBQ! The restaurant is Super Clean, including the restrooms, and you can see the kitchen and workers from the counter, so you know they are going to keep everything Super Clean. I ordered French Fries as one of my sides, and they are fresh taters sliced and dropped right into the cooker. Oh, did I mention that you are not going to get processed garbage here?? Awesome Fries, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, and Baked Beans. For dessert, Red Velvet Cake!! Come on over and support the Absolute Best BBQ Place in Evansville...

Our lunch was over the top today. We ordered the pulled pork plates with macaroni, fries and baked beans. We also tried the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. The brisket was a little tough but there was a young lady who came by our table to check on us and we showed her the brisket meat. She apologized and brought us something else. I was so impressed with the service and friendly smiles of the staff we interacted with. This is an amazing place you have to try out. The floating server came buy our table a few other times during our meal asking if we wanted to try a couple samples and I can not tell your how pleasant she was an what an impression she left with us. The food that was shared by our table was very flavourful and we also tried several of the sauces. The decor inside is really a nice tribute to the military and of many who've give their all for mine and your freedoms. We will deffinetly be back to this delightful place soon. Our server who came by our table was Amber and she is all about customer service.

First time visiting. Wish I could have given 10 stars! I have nothing but GOOD things to say. We got the meat samplers so we could try all the meats. At first I thought it was $$$ but after I seen what we got and the quality of the product I think it was a good price. Hands down the sausage was the best. The turkey was surprisingly delicious. Pulled chicken was good would get that again! To us the pulled pork was just ok. The brisket was OK and the ribs (baby back) was OK. Food comes with corn bread I think it's delicious! We tried Mac & cheese it was good. The potatoe salad was delicious! Green beans were good a bit spicy but good! Beans were OK I didn't like them but my husband did,but he thought they had too much sauce on them. We tried the peach cobbler it's seasonal and OMG I think i could eat a whole pan! It was one of the best things there! I would go there just for that! I can't put it into words! 10 out of 10 would HIGHLY recommend. Definitely would visit anytime I come this way.

Busy as all get out, but the cashiers were on point. Seating is adequate for normal business, but it was a little crowded for opening week. The kitchen looks very clean and well kept, and shiny stainless everywhere. There were a ton of people on the hot line and we got our food before we even had a chance to get our drinks. Two drink fountains as well as tea and lemonade made quick work of getting a tasty beverage. The condiment area is unique in that it is a medium sized Craftsman tool box. Inside the drawers you will find drink lids, straws, ketchup, mustard, sauces, etc. It was neat, but I am not sure how well kept you will be able to keep it. Seating is comfortable and they have a few picnic tables outside as well. The decor celebrates our countries military history and the men and women who serve. Nice collection of photographs, uniform patches, etc. There is some of the corrugated tin wanes coating on the walls, but not over done like some places I have seen. There are a few televisions spread around the room, but this is not a sports bar so it is not overwhelming. The really neat thing is every day at 12:00 noon, everyone stops, stands and sing the national anthem. It is a nice touch to honor our country. Well done! The food was well proportioned, and the temperature was good. I had the pulled chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The chicken was well smoked, but not dry. It had a great flavor. There are six sauces sitting at each table with a variety of bases and flavors from a honey with heat to a mustard based sauce. Great sauces, and they only added to the flavor. There are other sauces available, like a Alabama White Sauce that is really pretty good. The mac and cheese was really good. Good thick cheese sauce with some bread crumbs on top. I could have gone for a larger portion, but it satisfied. One of the workers brought around some Freedom Fries (seasoned French fries) as a sample and they were well cooked and seasoned. They went great with the white sauce. The sandwich combo with a drink and one side ran about $10, so it is a bit higher than a fast food meal, but I feel worth it for good BBQ. It is not going to be an everyday option, but something as a nice treat. Overall, I think Mission BBQ will be a welcome addition to the several other BBQ places in the area, and one of the better ones that...

I've come to see this place is hit or miss, no matter the location. The east side Evansville location is probably located in the worst spot for a busy place, ontop of that the black Mission BBQ vehicle is precariously parked which takes up even more spots. So, if don't mind walking, I'd save yourself the headache and park in the "Gen-Pop" area closer to the other restaurants.

Secondly, the food is okay at best. My order today was a XL Combo, so one meat and one side and a drink. I asked for Mac and Cheese and was very curtly told they were out. No problem, I understand and I opted for the seasonal side of Collard Greens. Major mistake. These were the worst greens I've ever tasted and they had potatoes and tomatoes mixed in with them? Maybe I am spoiled but greens, to me, are your green leaves, onion, and bacon. Vinegar with preference.

All in all, it's not a bad place. Certainly has a right-winged clinentel, so if you walk in with a mask you may get the death stare.

I don't remember if all the staff were wearing masks either, which I know is now up to the business and owners, but if it's something you feel strongly about (such as I do even know I am vaccinated but do not want to be a carrier and spread it to others), it may be something you really take into consideration.

I don't see myself or my husband going back anytime soon, it just wasn't "that" good for the money. Maybe next time will change my mind and...

Yes, this place is kind of expensive. But the BBQ is so good. We have had a couple mishaps with forgetting food lately in our to-go orders. We were missing fries and I called when we got home and they gave me a refund. But today we did a mobile order, so they couldn't refund me, I assume, so I had to go back for the meat I was missing in my 3 meat sampler. We don't live far, but it was kind of annoying we had to go back. But they made it worth it! She gave me double of the meat i went back for, a side of peach cobbler (which I tried a bite of and it is so good) AND they gave me a coupon for a free meal next time we go back. I got the pulled pork, brisket, and jalapeno sausage. The sausage is always good, the brisket was moist and had a lot of bark on it so it was amazing. I took the suggestion of a fellow customer and put tupelo honey and smokey BBQ sauce on the pork and that was great too! Even though they messed up our order, it was all delicious and I'll get 3 meals out of what I got. So definitely worth the price. It pays to not be a jerk when accidents happen and your order isn't perfect! Oh and my wife got the turkey sandwich, which she says she's never disappointed in, and they gave us an extra bun for her to get 2 sandwiches out of the massive pile of meat...
