Incompetent pickup/delivery procedures. Firehouse Subs on Greenriver Rd, Evansville places delivery orders on a rack in front of a glass door facing the parking lot. Everyone can see the food sitting there. People are waiting in the parking lot and are stealing the food when it's placed on the rack. On 02/17/2022 at about 7 PM Firehouse Subs said somebody already picked it up. No! It was stolen. Support said "you're the only driver that was sent" so somebody that was not authorized to pick it up picked it up = STOLEN. When an order gets stolen, they cancel the order. If a driver gets too many cancellations for any reason, the driver gets their contract terminated (fired) by the robots. To avoid a cancellation penalty I paid with my own money $33.51 because Firehouse Subs is allowing their food to be stolen and refuses to remake stolen food. I have bodycam footage of their bad pickup procedures and pictures of my receipt. I don't enjoying paying money for other people's/restaurant's incompetence in preventing theft. 1) Put the food behind the counter and if it's hot food put it on a heating mat or in a food warmer. Act like you care. 2) Make the driver give YOU the name. Do not say "Are you here for John Doe." That's wrong because thieves will lie and say yes. 3) Confirm the order by making the driver show you the order details on their phone screen. No phone, no order release. You act like you do not care about getting your food to your customers. Drivers caring more about your customers than you is shameful. Drivers should not have to pay for your theft friendly...
Read moreI decided to visit this sandwich shop for the first and now last time. I walked in and there were no customers besides myself. I ordered the large brisket and cheddar sub. It took about 3 minutes before the lady started on my sandwich. She placed the meat and cheese in some type of cooker. It took about 3 minutes before the cooker finished. When the lady picked up the wrapper containing my meat and cheese it was dripping water. She carried it over to the counter by me and commenced to pour off a bunch of water. She placed the meat on the wheat bread and wrapped it up and put it in a styrofoam container and finished my order. Total time was in excess of 10 minutes and when I got home total disappointment set in. My first bite was all bread so I took the sandwich apart and there was no cheddar cheese left on the meat and as the picture shows, that is how much extra bread there was with no meat on it. I spent almost $12.00 for what I would call a $5.00 sandwich. I will not visit this business again. It is an overpriced shop with under...
Read moreI went in the other night and got 3 sandwiches, and go home to eat. The meatball sub I ordered was atrocious, the worst tasting meatball sandwich I have ever had. Ive had better microwaved deli sandwiches. I ended up going back to the restaurant to get my wife more of their potato soup which was phenomenal, and made a point to inform the General Manager in the store that they may want to check on the meatballs because they did not taste good. I made a point to say something to him 2 times while waiting on my potato soup (which he did not have enough of to fill my order after double checking before I paid). I just think is poor customer service not to check with the customer complaining about a food item on the menu. This was my first time at Firehouse subs and likely will be my last due to the quality of customer service. My visit was about 8pm...
