Hey Hey, this is by far our Favorite Chinese Buffet place in Evansville! We have been to many different places, and tried most of them, but, we always come back to Grand Buffet.
The first time I tried this place years ago, it was not my favorite, but since they have added the Mongolian BBQ Grill, they kicked it up several notches, and I have not even considered going to the other buffet I enjoyed.
The selection here is good, and for us, we prefer to go after 3:30, or on the weekend when they have a larger selection of things that we really enjoy, like shrimp, calamari, crawdads, and other specialty dishes they put out.
We always get good service here, and the food is always fresh, as I normally do most of my eating from the Mongolian BBQ Grill. You simply can not go wrong no matter what day or time you show up, so just bring your hunger and rip into that delicious buffet!
As usual, the last time we did get good service, but, the folks at Grand Buffet are going to have to kick their game up several notches when it comes to their handicapped parking spots.
They should take some of their change out of that beautiful water art there, and buy some salt to get rid of all that snow and ice that is keeping the physically disabled from parking in front of the door.
That is a Double Thumbs Down for Grand Buffet.
They should really care more about their customers safety and well-being, as if one gets hurt, I do believe that would be a potential lawsuit, that they would...
Read moreThis is usually our go to Chinese place, but after tonight we probably won’t go back. Not because the food was trash- which it was unfortunately. But because of the awful customer service. I went to let the older gentleman that is always behind the front counter know that most of their food was dried up from sitting in the warmers. (Most likely been out since lunch time) Sometimes food quality isn’t good and I understand that completely. I’ve managed restaurants. Poor customer service is inexcusable however. He argued with me and walked around to look at the food making excuses for why things weren’t the way they were supposed to be. Claiming their coconut shrimp should be hard because it’s fried, but if you’ve ever had it you know that’s not true at all. It’s usually creamy and delightful with a little crunch. The dumplings are crusty. The noodles were like rubber. He made excuses and argued and made zero attempt to make the situation better. I was trying to give helpful advice to replace all the trash food before anyone else had the same awful experience. 0/10 for customer service. 1/10 for food quality tonight. When the food hasn’t been sitting out all day it is great which is why we usually come here. Can’t take the gamble on that anymore knowing they won’t be willing to uphold any standards for quality. $20...
Read moreFood is good. I’ve seen the staff use the restroom without washing their hands, handling drinks with unclean hands.
Every time I go, I get profiled. They assume I’m going to dine-and-dash, leading to my table getting rushed to pay as soon as they bring the check out. When I watch to see how they treat other tables, they drop the check off and give them time or allow them to pay at the front desk. My waitress tonight, Cindy, started pushing things around the table in a petty manner, taking food that was still being eaten, and not leaving because I didn’t pull my money out to pay as soon as the check was dropped off. She failed to ask if we were ready to pay, interrupted the conversation I was having, and had a horrible attitude. She just kept shoving the checks at us until we took our wallets out instead of dropping the checks off and allowing us a second without her huffing over our shoulders. She didn’t do this with any of her other tables. This isn’t the first time. I’ve never given them a reason to think I would leave without paying nor have I caused any trouble at this restaurant. The staff is...
