Just giving an honest review based on my taste and my experience.
The ham and cheese sandwich comes with tomatoes and lettuce and they wrapped the toppings separately which was great! The sandwich tasted good. The bread was especially good. The amount of ham on the sandwich was honestly a little ridiculous. One small thin slice on the sandwich. Unfortunate. It was $13.25 for one thin slice of ham. Stingy.
The chefs salad was just okay. The Kraft packaged ranch does not taste good. Again, stingy on the toppings. Maybe about half of a slice of thin ham and maybe 2 pepperonis. The lettuce was really fresh and crispy and clean. Just disappointed in the stingy amount of toppings. It was basically a $9 bowl of lettuce and low quality ranch.
Penne Alfredo Supremeā¦ā¦Iām sorry but all I can say is this was disgusting. I love mushrooms. This tasted like unsalted pasta with heavy cream and mushrooms and mushroom water. Does not taste like Alfredo. No salt/seasoning. Really bad. I ordered a cup of marinara as a side and Iām sorry to say but I found it disgusting. Iām sure itās just a personal preference but Iāve never had such sweet yet salt-less marinara. Iām not a fan. The Alfredo was painfully lacking salt and any flavor.
The breadsticks that came with the Alfredo were EXCELLENT. Really great breadsticks and Iām really not a breadstick person.
Iām curious to try pizza. A little nervous since I really didnāt like the marinara. I will try pizza at some point. Iām sorry to say this visit was really a let down from the hype.
Another issue - and I do understand they just opened so there will be kinks, but I placed an order online at 4:55 and it said the order would be ready at 6:30. I know thereās a wait because theyāre so busy so no worries. But I got a text at 5:11 that my order was ready. Donāt get me wrong Iām thrilled that it was so quick, but was almost an issue as I was headed grocery shopping to wait. So once I got the text, I turned around to get the food.
They forgot to give me my salad at pick up, but called within a few minutes telling me of the mistake. Again, no biggie as these things happen sometimes. Especially when a place is so busy. I did appreciate the call.
The breadsticks and the bread (from the sandwich)...

They only use the highest quality ingredients and you can tell from each bite. I should have gotten a canoli but it slipped my mind. They are so good, I tried them at the Mt. Vernon location. They offer carry out and delivery to a good portion of the Northside but could meet at spots along 41 for those outside the delivery area Welcome to Evansville DiMaggio's Pizza - Evansville, IN!Northside Evansville just got lucky! Ā Ā Ā Read moreOH MY WORD!! THIS FOOD!! āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø ā Great New Spot for Pizza, Sandwiches, & Pasta on Evansvilleās North Side!!
I recently tried this new pizza place that also serves sandwiches and pasta, and it was an awesome experience! We ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, a roast beef sandwich (which reminds me of sir beef, IYKYK), a calzone, and Bosco sticks. Everything was fresh and flavorful, but the real standout was the marinara sauce ā you can absolutely tell itās homemade. Itās rich, perfectly seasoned, and takes the food to another level.
The sandwiches were generously filled and delicious, and the calzone had the perfect balance of cheese and fillings, especially when dipped in that incredible marinara. The Bosco sticks were warm, cheesy, and a tasty like none Iāve tasted before!!
If youāre looking for a spot that offers more than just your average slice, this place is definitely worth checking out. Iāll be back soon to try more of their menu! Congratulations DiMaggioās on your new addition to...
