On July 1, 2018 I was told to leave by a female manager, that approached me with her fiancé who doesn't even work there!!! She said if I didn't leave they'd call the police on me!!! I was accused of a number of things that day!!!
I was in the front and was in my electric wheelchair at a table. I am homeless right now. I have my belongings on the back of my wheelchair. I was approached by this female manager who wasn't even in a uniform. She said, "I hate to do this to a paying customer, but I want you to leave.". I had eaten my food, which btw had been made wrong again as has happened a number of times due to the ineptness of employees, but I was not even finished drinking my original serving of root beer.
I have RSD/CRPS and was taking my meds after eating my food. I break the acetaminophen and diphenhydramine HCL in half before taking them. I had dropped a half of an acetaminophen on the floor and it went under my wheelchair. No one could get past me or near me without me noticing! She accused me of having narcotics, specifically saying Lortab!!! I told her I had NONE!!! She picked up the half of the acetaminophen under my wheelchair and then tried saying a kid could've picked it up! No kid could have gotten under my chair without me noticing!!!
She also accused me of saying I was going to slit throats with a boxcutter on a phone conversation at a previous visit which is a God Damned lie!!! I have that conversation recorded and can prove what was said.
I told her I'd show her every medication bottle I had and she refused to see what the Truth was!!
THIS WAS COMPLETELY HUMILIATING AND IT IS DISCRIMINATION!!! I am going to contact their corporate office and a lawyer about this issue!!! I have part of the conversation recorded. She said she was recording. Well then, she has a recording of the accusations she made that I had narcotics and specifically Lortab when I had NONE!!!
I went to CVS after this horribly humiliating incident and got a print out of my medications so I'd have proof that I had NO Lortabs!!!
At the time, a man was stalking me!! Some creep with a backpack came inside, gave me a creepy smile, and then left!!! I felt him staring at me from behind!!!
This incident had NOTHING to do with my meds, she was discriminating against me because I am homeless and didn't want me in the restaurant!!! I told her, "Shame on you!!"
An employee, who is now in management, allowed me to come in there, plug my wheelchair and phones in, and sit inside so I wasn't outside beginning around April of last year. I had taken my meds NUMEROUS times and had NEVER had a word said to me or been told to leave!!! I had never been threatened with calling the police on me there...
Read moreDairy Queen is my favorite fast food restaurant but I will never return to this location again. The drive thru is the only thing open because of covid . We order , pulled up to window and paid & when the worker gave me my change, he ask me to pull forward & they would bring our food out to us. Twenty minutes later, still no food but two police officers pull up and question us ,run our names , and ask me about a male driving my vehicle drunk on beer. I'm a female and the only one that drives my truck. The officer on the driver's side told me the managers are the ones that called because the young man at the window told this story to them. #1 - I don't drink alcohol & #2 - would never drink and drive ! There was no citation given ! The officer ask me to not be belligerent toward the manager that was bringing out our food, 45 minutes after it was paid for ! The manager comes out and says it was a big misunderstanding. I politely told him I no longer wanted the food that I had ordered 45 minutes earlier and I wanted my money back. He replied no & he would have to make some phone calls. After the embarrassment and humiliation they put me through for absolutely no reason, I get told no, I can't get my money refunded. Never again ! I will not return to this Dairy Queen for any reason ! But I will be sure and tell everyone I know the negative experience I had at Dairy Queen First Avenue...
Read moreFirst time I've ever been to this location, as I do not live on this side of town. Was in the area so stopped here & took my daughter out for ice cream. The staff was awesome - the young employees behind the counter were the nicest ever & did not ignore my 7 year old like most fast food places do when you are ordering food. They asked her what she wanted, answered all her questions she had (actually talked to her & not to me), & gave her the number to take to the table. My daughter (myself too) thought this was just awesome & these teenagers treated my daughter better than most adults do at places like this. Next time I take the kids out for ice cream, I will definitely be coming back to this location from...
