IGA — Local services in Evansville

Beware!! No longer the friendly Corner store they were before ownership change. Since I work in the service industry I rarely leave bad reviews. Maybe 5 my whole life and I'm old lol. So I've going into Simpson's nearly weekly for the last 25 years and have never had a hint of problem cashing a check. This morning I go in not expecting a problem since I've never had one in 25 years. Normally I wouldn't go on a Sunday, however my Mom is Diabetic and is in dire need of medicine, plus I've worked all night and it nearly triple digit heat outside. The lady behind the desk cooks up a blatant lie for an excuse not to cash the check and showed zero empathy. Having been going there for over 2 decades, I extremely crushed by her rudeness and lack of empathy. Lesson Learned customer loyalty to a business means nothing. Avoid this store...

I visit this grocery store frequently. Simpsons Food Mart has the best ground chuck in Evansville in my opinion. Prices are average oh, but the location is close to my house which is a great thing. Being a single man I eat a lot of hamburgers and french fries but also cook for teenagers the visit my grandson. So I often go to Simpson's for the ground chuck,And I will be returning to this Store soon. and you can also pay your utility bills and othrr bills at Simpson's they also cash...

Couldn't get help with what I needed, was busy as ever and only one cashier on a Saturday afternoon (weeks ago). The one cashier who checked me out was rude/irritated even with my polite "please and thank you" to her. Maybe was stressed, but we need more workers! This causes the remaining dedicated workers that are doing their job to get overwhelmed, stressed, and then end up quitting. I'll still rate with 3 stars in hopes the management...
