T.J. Maxx — Local services in Evansville

As a frequent and regular customer, I have shopped and shop at this TJ Maxx a lot. However, after today I will more than likely NOT be returning. Felt so uncomfortable and disgusted today as an employee decided she wanted to follow me and at several points steps in my way then apologizes stating she felt like she was in my way. She made out like she was “counting items” in the bra/panty section when I was clearly trying to look and shop for what I wanted to buy. She wasn’t counting anything as I let the manager know, but she obviously thought I was that naive. The manager stated that the cosmetics section and the lingerie section are together so employees could be putting merchandise out in both. She had no merchandise in her hands nor a stock cart with anything on it to put away in that section. She had nothing of the sort! Just because I didn’t have the couple of items I was wanting to buy in a shopping cart didn’t mean she had to act the way she did. They maintain a revolving inventory at lower prices than major department stores that carry the same brands. They have carts so you don't have to hold everything. I recently found Guardsmen furniture care products. Guardsmen makes what used to be the finest products in the world. Every item I've purchased seems to be their original trusted formulas. They had everything from Leamon Oil to Leather Cleaner. I love to shop for bargains at the Mall. I wait to buy unless I find something special, until I check out T.J. Max and their sister store Marshall's. They have a lot to offer, and I don't have to hike a mile. I'm getting older and don't hold up like I used to. Then again, shopping with my children or grandchildren pretty much equals it out. I like to look at their online store, but I hate paying for something I can't see and touch. I know about textiles and more importantly, garment construction. I still expect patterns the line-up on seams for continuity and flow. It's very hard to find those things. I hadn't been to a TJMAxx like ever....then I started work at the warehouse in my hometown. So since I had a discount I took my mom to check it out. Talk about a wild ride. We found luggage, make up, hair and skin care products for ridiculously low prices. Then they even had tasty snacks! Not to mention all the cute seasonal decorations for current occasions. The clothes were so fun to search through too, you never really know what you will find. The prices are insanely good. Def recommend for anyone who loves shopping and finding...
