This was the absolutely the worst restaurant experience of my life .I knew going in it was gonna be busy cuz it’s a Wednesday night . There was a concert I know this cuz I worked the concert so I expected a wait . But what I received was nothing at all . When I asked the server do I seat myself she informed me it would be be 40 50 min before I’d get my food . ok cool like I said I kinda expected it .it wasn’t packed but a lil busy let me mention this I’m a server myself so after 20 minutes of not even getting acknowledged not 1 of the 3 servers working even acknowledged me at the table. the only interaction with any employee was the brief conversation I had mentioned. 15 more minutes not even a menu handed to me so I left .so which ever 3 servers worked April 30 third shift totally ignored what was probably gonna be their best tipper of that shift the were all completely overwhelmed but not because of business just lack the care or ability idk which one it was I’m currently writing this review from Denny's on green river Road that’s equally busy has 2 less servers amazing not only have I already been greeted I’m already eating now I’m not gonna totally boycott ihop but I will boycott these 3 servers im not publicly blast by name well cuz i never got to speak with 1 for 45 seconds but its not that hard for management to figure out who worked April 30 3rd shift you give servers a bad wrap i have no clue how you even make money with service this horrible ill refuse all 3 of these servers to serve me in ihop if any of those servers went to a restaurant and got the treatment i got they’d be crying it was racially motivated I’ve never posted a restaurant review before but the experience was that bad im compelled to leave this it was absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had and being a server it’s the worst service I’ve witnessed ever being giving . I watched a server nodding off high on heroin give better more attentive service than those 3 this night now my bill at Denny’s is 19.41 I’m dropping 40 on the table which is exactly what was gonna happen at ihop if anyone would just got a menu gave out drink and took an easy as order I’m dropping another 10 just cuz I can and it’s my middle...
Read moreI lived in MD for years and enjoyed the food and "great service".. To be clear, I gave this IHOP located on Burkhardt..in Evansville ample time, and opportunities to resolve this problem. When I entered the IHOP for the first time, employees appeared to be chattering about as if no one entered. After five minutes I requested assistance. Placed my very large order only to find (20 min later when I arrived home) that items were missing. I phoned the restaurant and spoke with an employee about the problem, I was placed on hold for several minutes. Leylani (excuse spelling) came on the line and told me they were looking into the problem with my order at which point I advised her that the problem was missing items from my order. After 15 minutes she finally stated that she would replace part of the items. On 14 August 2018 I phoned the order providing my name..when I went in I played separately for two separate meals and requested more syrup. Leylani stated that she put 3 in already.. I told her that I didnt think extra syrup was a problem.. she (WITH NO GLOVES ON) opened each of the containers stating (see it's all there) I came home and tried to chew a steak that was so tough and rubbery I gave it to my dogs. My chief Complaint is the ignorance and denial of FAIR/EQUAL treatment upon entering the establishment, the fact that a couple came in and employees immediately assisted them.. secondly the meals were incomplete and the response by leylani, led me to one conclusion. Leylani did not initially believe me, and believes more than 3 packs of syrup for 3 orders of pancakes and 2 orders of French toast all of which were for children...Now... I am a Veteran USN-RET, and Federal retiree, never have I experienced the level of ignorance exhibited by employees and what I'm guessing was a manager at any IHOP. What she should have done was replaced both meals that were missing items, she should not have been so dismissive initially of my Complaint, she should have asked me to open the containers to check the orders, and she should have never have denied me the proper amount of syrup for those orders. Leylani was condescending, dismissive, and inexcusably ignorant. L....
Read moreI go here occasionally. My experience is totally different than the other reviewer. I find the whole place clean, including good quality rest rooms. They have a full spectrum of food choices, associated with breakfast lunch dinner, all served all times of day, but they often do not make enough soup to last for the evening customers. They promote pancakes, but I really like their waffles. They are what I call a family restaurant, with prices, full spectrum meal choices, and decor which is friendly to all members of a family, including children even babies, disabled. Their menu has smaller size portions available, suitable for seniors, children. We can also get substitutes tailored for people who seek low calorie, other healthy diet interests. Driving access is great, ample parking, newspaper sales out front well stocked. They do not have a fast food drive by, but take out is available. Their location in Evansville, unfortunately is one that at certain times of day, the traffic is murder. As a long time resident of the community, I can give directions how to get there, and avoid most of the traffic. For example, if approaching from the west, on Virginia, there is a cross street a couple blocks shy of the traffic jam, go North then right at stop sign, and there's a traffic light with no traffic. Go all the way across, then right between the bank and donut shops, then thru the parking area, and in the back door of IHOP. #AMacReviews...
