S & S Grocery — Local services in Everett

It's hit n miss with these guys. The store, I believe, is family owned. The eldest clerk yells a lot and doesn't pause his loud conversation in another language to wait on customers. Frequently he doesn't hear me bc he's already talking. Otherwise a nice guy.

The younger clerk however, doesn't give off that same jovial vibe. He suspiciously hovers over in a way that makes me go buy my vape accessories elsewhere anytime I encounter him. If you're standing closer to me than my kid is ya need to back up, sir! I have no doubt they're concerned about shoplifters; that's understandable considering the locale, but I've been in that store 3+ x wk for yrs now! You'd think at some point they'd recognize their bread n butter customers.

Would give negative stars if I could. I am walking home, probably about 3 more miles to go, & I'm running low in my water bottle. I politely obeyed all the posted signs, & removed my head coverings before entering. I asked if bathrooms were for customers only, & was aggressively told that there were no bathrooms at all & to try somewhere else. I then asked if they had any fountain drinks & was very aggressively told that the answer was no & I needed to leave. Very rude to a woman alone in her 30s, trying to get home to get husband at her apartment. I'm not sure if they're just racist to white women, or sexist, or just don't have any compassion for their fellow human beings. I left feeling alarmed and scared, not understanding the downright hostile behavior towards someone who went or if their way to follow all of their posted rules. Don't give...

Good place to stop for a snack and a water. They have a wide range of beverages from water, teas, soda, beer, juice, cold coffees and wine. The snacks and food range from bags of nuts, candy, chips, canned food, beef jerky and all kinds of cups of noodles. The owner is friendly and will always try to up sell you another random item with a smile without being annoying. That being said, I would not bring my kids in this store. There are a couple reasons but the main reason would be the adult magazines and videos that are completely visible throughout the store. But I've noticed lots of really old creepy dudes enjoying the massive selection. Haha
