Prince Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Ewing Township

The food here is excellent, some of the best chicken and sides in the area, without question. Portions are large, and the prices are quite reasonable. If you come here with $10, you'll certainly be able to leave with enough food to put you out of commission for the next couple hours (in the best possible way, of course).

That being said, the location itself is a bit like a demilitarized zone. This is not somewhere I would suggest you go after nightfall, and certainly not towards the middle of the night when the bars let out. I've lived and worked in the area for many years, and I can tell you that violence is fairly common at this establishment around the midnight hour. There are literally bullet holes in the front door, check for yourself if you don't believe me (they usually pretty it up by covering them with pieces of tape).

I hate to detract a point from Prince for something that is arguably out of their control, but the fact remains I don't believe this establishment is safe to visit once it gets busy. That's something that you simply have to take into account before you decide if you want to place your order here or not, so I'll rate it...

I arrived when they just ran out of cooked chicken wings so I joined a line of customers waiting for a fresh batch. These guys continued taking orders from people and didn't write one order down but remembered everyone's order in the line. I was pretty impressed. Since I had to wait I looked at the other menu items, they have many, and checked out the various cakes, pies and their banana pudding. They are also Halal. I finally got my wings. They were obviously hot. They were also crispy and juicy. I will most likely go back to check out their other menu items. I know their chicken is on point and for that I recommend you check them out. My criticism is they could tell the guy sitting outside of the store asking for money to leave. This person wasn't aggressive or rude but it's a bad look that's not acceptable in other places.
