We decided to purchase a couch and loveseat here after they reassured us on the floor that they had both pieces. Started signing everything and we were about to pay when they said "Oh , actually we only have the loveseat in. We can have the other one delivered here in two weeks from Anchorage though." We asked are you sure you can actually have it here in two weeks, because we've had bad luck in the past and had to wait a year for one of our barstools, we bought over at Sadlers. They reassured us again " yes, it will definitely be here in two weeks." Two weeks pass and we don't hear anything. So, we call and are told "It's not in but we have a truck unloading stuff right now, it might be on the truck, and we'll give you a call". Two more weeks go by, with no call from Bailey's, so we call again and are told the same exact thing by Danielle. We explained that we were told the same thing previously, verbatim, and asked if there was actually a truck being unloaded. Danielle said that she would go to the back and look herself, and then call us back. We received a call back, but it was from Stephanie, who said that both units were actually in the store and ready for pickup. We explained to Stephanie that we had made arrangements during the initially quoted 2 week delivery window to get the couches to Delta Junction, but may not be able to pick them up right away. Stephanie said that she would see about having them delivered to us in Delta, and give us a call back on Monday. Monday comes and goes, with no call. Finally receive a call on Wednesday that week, and they said that the couches had gotten lost somewhere between Anchorage and Fairbanks, they did not know what had happened. They said that they could refund the purchase price or put the money towards the purchase of other furniture. This would not have been that helpful as we really liked the ones we picked, and we purchased them during a sale which had ended. 5 days later, we received a call from Bailey's asking how we were enjoying our new couches. We told them that they said they lost them and we were supposed to be getting a refund. The person on the phone then said, "Oh, um...trying to figure out what happened there." I said, "I don't know, you just said you lost them." She replied with "Okay, have...
Read moreThis is the worst furniture store in Fairbanks as far as service and quality of their product, and Anchorage isn't any better. It's pretty bad when I would rather go buy a couch from Fred Meyers then ever stepping foot inside a bailey's furniture store ever again. Long story short bought a "chofa" for 1000 plus scotch guard in December of 2016, made a claim for it April 2017 for the cushions looking as if we've had the couch for 10 years rather than 4 months. So of course they say they have to contact manufacturer to show them pictures of the couch and wait for a decision of what they'd like to do, which ended up in them sending new cushions and baileys service shop asking us if we'd like to have them reinforce where the cushions sit on, so us thinking that will help with new cushions we said yes. We live 100 miles from the Fairbanks store and we had to bring them the couch or they would charge us 299.00 to come pick the couch up repair it and bring it back out. So brought it to them had them do their thing and got the couch home to find the cushions were actually way over stuffed to the point it had started to stretch the fabric out and made lines in the fabric so we had to bring the cushions back to town for them to fix, a few weeks after getting it home I discovered a nail sticking out where they had taken the fabric off for the repairs which I stabbed my leg on and a few days earlier my husband scraped his leg on a staple as well. Now going on a year later and they tell me the same story bring it in or pay 300 for them to fix their screw up. This is after months of back and forth with management from the Fairbanks store and warehouse ( resulting in them telling me they didn't choose where I live) and the Anchorage management of leaving multiple message with the customer service manager as well as main manager of bailey's in Anchorage who says he doesn't deal with customer issues like this 😂, isn't that a managers job!?!?!? Needless to say bailey's doesn't care about customers after they take your money and I do not recommend anyone should support...
Read moreI recently went shopping for a new living room set. I visited three local furniture stores to check out their inventories, their pricing and the services they offered. I ended up purchasing a three piece living room set at Bailey’s Furniture, from Sales Associate April Grayboff, for the following three reasons. First, they had the most varied inventory in terms of options available to choose from. Second, they had the best sale pricing, the best military discount, the lowest delivery charges and the best warranty offer and pricing. The last, and probably most important reason was the shopping experience I encountered there. April was extremely knowledgeable about her product, but what I appreciated the most was her sales approach. She was attentive but not ‘sales aggressive’ as some associates can be. She simply presented her products in a relaxed informative way, and then answered my questions about each set that I was considering without being overbearing. She presented details that I may want to consider about each set, based on the questions she was asking about my life style and entertaining needs. She then initiated stepping aside, without me needing to initiate wanting some space and time to look over each set more closely, as well as have more opportunity to sit and assess the comfort of each one of them. She circled back around to follow up with me, taking the time to answer any additional questions that had come up while considering the options, so that I didn’t have to go looking for her. At no point did she ever make me feel rushed, pressured or uncomfortable. In fact, she put me more at ease by acknowledging it was a major purchase and actually encouraged me to feel comfortable taking my time. I appreciated her honesty and her candor. Her attitude and approach to selling made a major purchase easier and more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this business and this associate for anyone looking for household furniture and...
