I have not been a fan of car stereo shops in any way shape or form. I have trusted several "reputable" stereo shops in the past and all have returned my vehicles with electrical issues. All shops I have dealt with have offered a discount on the service provided or donate the items they installed for compensation because of poor workmanship.
About a decade has past and decided to try Street Sounds. They have renewed my faith in the industry. Well, almost. I had a Smart Start/remote start system, among other things, installed by Street Sounds and it all worked great.
Recently, I had an updated Smart Start module installed to replace the obsolete unit. I was not told about the lack of cellular service for the new version until I paid for the device and had it installed. I already had a subscription for the old Smart Start device. Now, the device does not work because the cellular service for the updated module is not operational.
The cellular service issue is out of Street Sounds' control, however, they knew the service was not up and running for the new module. There is a degree of obligation to inform your customers so they can make a decision to continue with the installation.
I now have a paid Smart Start subscription with a non-operating Smart Start. Cancelling the subscription is not a wise move since the new module has already been paid for and installed.
Street Sounds did reply to express their concern.
The circumstance above aside, Street Sounds sales reps are friendly and helpful. I will continue to send and recommend Street Sounds to my friends and family. My situation appears to be an isolated incident. 4...
Read moreHonestly, started out with my suburban and had them equip subs and replace all stock speakers including the radio. It’s been at least 4 months and nothing is wrong. Second just got my GMC Sierra done yesterday and they went above and beyond. Now imagine, that’s just the vehicle’s. The customer service is another one. The respect for what a customer wants in their vehicle is always there. They will advise you on different solutions but the final word is yours. I am honored to have met Brandon and sad to hear he will be leaving. Everyone there are awesome and outgoing people. When you think oh there just being nice cause they have to no they are grateful to have a opportunity to work with a customer’s vehicle and build a relationship just like I have with Brandon. To any one out there scared and don’t think it’s a good idea, if surgeons specialize in surgery’s and dedicate their life to their work. Well these guys specialize in what they do and dedicate delicacy into the work that they love. The price was high for me and I was scared but when they showed me the outcome, they did more then what was required. Get this, it was free of charge. Now I’ve only done my audio, but judging by outcome of the audio, I don’t think they will be falling short of any other...
Read moreUPDATE Jan. 12, 2024 — We had an issue with the headlight on the driver side, and true to form, Justin and team stepped up and hit a home run. We were walk-ins, and without hesitation, everyone worked hard to exceed expectations. I can’t say enough good things about this business and the crew. Absolutely the cream of the crop! Thanks guys, we’re grateful for your professionalism!
We recently had the pros at Street Sounds install a light bar and high-intensity lights and fog lamps on our Dodge 2500 Power Wagon, and let me tell you ... these guys, and gals, hit it out of the park. From the initial call into the shop and ordering the parts to installation and follow up with us a week later, the team has been professional, courteous, and efficient. Justin was our advisor, and he went out of his way to make sure we got exactly what we needed, and then called a week later to make sure we're happy with the product and their service. KUDOs Street Sounds ... you have earned a repeat customer and we're grateful for your...
