What a great store. The owners (father & son) are very knowledgeable and helpful. One is a certified gemologist and the other is a gold smith. Their selection is unique and comprehensive. They have jewelry for all styles and budgets. They have many one-of-a-kind pieces you won't find in mall jewelry stores. I would guess that most of their selection is either custom made or estate pieces.

What brought me into the store was I needed to sell my deceased mothers jewelry collection. I had been to several other stores and had a rough idea what the collection was worth. Jeffery took the time to educate me on exactly what I had. He seemed sympathetic to the fact that selling my mother's jewelry was difficult for me. He took the time to go through the entire collection and helped me sort out what was real and what was costume. His purchasing price was right in line with what I'd expected to get for the jewelry, but the added bonus was JL Jewelers brought dignity and patience to the process. Never did I feel like my mothers treasured possessions were a commodity that they were only interested in its value.

While I was in the store, several regular customers came in. JL does repair as well. From watch batteries to resizing to moving stones from old jewelry into new settings, they seem to be a full service store. I watched as they took time with each customer to make sure they were meeting their needs.

My main impression was Jeffery & Alex are honest people who run an honest store. Stay away from the mall stores and the chain stores. Compared to JL Jewelers, those chain stores are used car salesmen.

I know it sounds crazy, but I really feel like I found an honest jeweler. While you're there, ask to meet Phil the french bull dog. As an anniversary gift, my husband had JL Jewelers custom design a ring that combined my engagement ring, a gift ring and my wedding ring into one ring. The result was absolutely stunning, a one-of-a-kind treasure that frequently draws compliments. When my ring finger developed osteoarthritis to the point that the ring had become too tight,, they made a modification that enabled me to open the ring and remove it when necessary, as for surgery and when I have them check the points. My finger joints continued to enlarge and I switched the ringtone my right hand. Now JL is working with me to incrementally increase the size so that I can return it to my right hand. We have absolute trust in JL Jewelers to provide the best, most professional, creative and personalized attention to us. Their store is full of wonders, beautifully designed jewelry of course, but also many unique curiosities, treasures, antiquities and collectibles. I went in for a simple engagement ring. When I walked in I was met with the kisses of a thousand angels as the fanfare of heavenly trumpets followed me to the counter where I met with Nolan and Jeff. When I began to state what I was looking for, Jeff said "shh, follow me" where he led me through a secret trap door to a chamber full of ancient runes and treasures only briefly described in the most arcane of historic texts and copper scripts. I thought about the ring I had in mind and then it appeared before my eyes like magic. When I took my card out to pay, Jeff said, don't worry about it son, this one's on me, after which he blew me a kiss that created a small cloud that floated me back out to my car. My experience was nothing short of celestial and I WILL be back.
