Destroyed My Device and Dodged Responsibility

I brought in a modded Nintendo 2DS XL that powered on, but would shut off right after a pop sound. A common issue with the speaker ribbon after. The system was still repairable.

Was quoted me $100 for a repair. Claimed they could “fix anything.” (😂😂😂)

When I picked it up: They returned it with a CRACKED & destroyed shell. The top LCD was SHATTERED. (was fully intact when I dropped it off) They admitted the was bottom screen not even connected back into the board. The system now turns on to black screens, and the power button only works when force shut down. They blamed “water damage” without offering any proof or photos, just a weak excuse after clearly damaging it further.

I never dropped it in water. There was no water damage when I handed it over. They offered no photos, no evidence, nothing. Just a weak excuse because they clearly messed it up and didn’t want to take responsibility.

They broke the screen, cracked the shell, gave it back in worse shape, and said “oh well.” That’s not repair, it’s sabotage.

This is not how professional repair shops should operate. This shop is either wildly unskilled, completely careless, or just doesn’t care about how they treat customers or their property. I brought them a fixable system and they gave it back in way worse shape, clearly didn’t finish the repair properly, and never took responsibility for the damage they caused.

Bottom Line: More Resource Tech is untrustworthy. Lowballs on trade ins. Doen't warn you about issues in the stuff they sell. Break the stuff you give them to fix. Blame you for their mistakes. Offer no accountability and leave your gear wrecked.
