Creative Habitats — Local services in Fanwood

I would highly recommend Creative Habitats. I went into a number of different tile stores and each time I asked for information about the tile itself (e.g., why 2 that look alike are different prices) I got blank stares or poor answers. And asking for some design advice at other places... forget it. It is like they don't want to give it so you don't get mad at them.

Well, Nese at Creative Habitats was quite the opposite. She knew her stuff about each of the tiles they have at the store. And she spent HOURS with us helping us design our 3.5 bathrooms, our kitchen and our fireplace. When I say hours, i'm not talking about 1-2 hours. We must have been in the store a total of 10 hours thinking, designing, and deciding. And Nese's guidance was what made it for us. Instead of ending up with a the same bathroom you see in every catalog, we have our own bathroom, still traditional enough to suit our tastes, but different enough to make it special. Now when we show our house, people stop at the exact design elements Nese recommended.

We also picked our kitchen countertops with Nese and we went from picking the countertop to installation in less than a week. Impressive.

My wife and I had no idea how to go about selecting a countertop for our kitchen. After browsing at several large countertop facilities, we stopped in Creative Habitats because it was local and we were curious to see what it was all about. It's a good thing we did because Nese gave us a professional, crash course in how to select a countertop. She has a strong aesthetic eye, knows her stuff, and will share her thoughts on her perception of your taste level. She recommended some granite/quartz/marble dealers and we selected our slab after several visits and careful consideration. Nese opened our eyes to the beauty of marble but we ultimately selected a gorgeous quartz that is perfect for our kitchen. Creative Habitats took all existing measurements and cut the slab we chose. They worked with our specific scheduling needs around strict quarantining before the holidays. Nese's crew was careful and tidy as they worked. They came back to address a small issue with one portion of quartz - a seam needed to be re-adhered behind the oven. Also the crew installed our new kitchen sink with no question, which we weren't expecting. We plan to work with Nese for our future home renovation needs. Creative Habitats installed quartz countertops, backsplash, sink and gas cooktop in my kitchen and did a fantastic job! They were very timely and detailed oriented. If I didn’t have any issues with my appliances (dent on stovetop, nothing to do with Creative Habitats), they would’ve been done with the project in 4 days! I didn’t realize the sink I ordered was too small but Nese and crew were very helpful in sourcing a larger sink and re-cutting the sink opening on the countertop even though it was already installed. They really wanted me to be happy with the final product and went out of their way to make it happen. The crew did excellent work on the tile backsplash - very clean and precise. The plumber made everything under the sink look nice and tidy. They did an excellent job cleaning up major debris but there will be a lot of dust (to be expected) and cleaned up when the project is complete. Highly recommend Creative Habitats for...
