At approximately 4pm my teenage son and I were checking out thru the self checkout, I was scanning and he was bagging. Since I was buying their marked down beer the self checkout jockey came over to verify my ID.
Her name was JOVI.
She looks at my son and asks "who's he?", to which I replied he's my son, why? She then said "since your son TOUCHED the beer we cannot sell it to you." I chuckled because I had my ID and DEBIT card in hand and told her I was paying for it.
She then proceeded to tell me about some policy about EVERYONE at the register has to present ID if alcohol is involved. I looked around and the only policy I saw was the blue and white sign that stated "anyone that APPEARS to be under the age of 21 must present a valid state/government ID", to which I replied I'M BUYING, I'M PAYING, my kid has nothing to do with this except the fact that he bagged it.
I asked her to show me this "policy" and she then stated "our loss prevention checks the cameras regularly to make sure underaged kids don't buy beer, it's their policy." I looked around again and asked where this "policy" was posted? She couldn't give me an answer and proceeded to nitpick thru my groceries.
I then asked JOVI to get a manager over because the lead cashier she brought over knew even less and gave me a different answer. Both of them couldn't provide me with any policy even remotely like what the LAW states on the only sign they had posted.
So at this time I'm irritated because policies are just being freestyled out of thin air when a supposed "manager" comes by. She tells me that EVERYONE involved in a transaction that involves BEER has to be ID'd.
EVERYONE...
I again point at the ONLY sign posted about beer sales. I show them MY ID, MY DEBIT CARD, both with MY INFORMATION ON THEM, and that my son isn't even a factor regardless if he touched, breathed, or even glaced at the beer. They continue to have their discussion when I told them to just keep all their crap, because what was supposed to be a quick in and out turned into a Walmart Freestyle Policy Meeting.
I can't say I EVER had a good experience here and I only stop by out of sheer convenience, but today blew those past experiences out of the water.
Walmart, you need to spend some of those record profits on your employees and TRAIN THEM properly.
This is the last time I'm buying anything from this store. I recommend going to Fiesta, El Rancho, or even Albertsons up the way because this store ain't it. From crap customer service to employees just making up policy as they go, this store has been nothing but a running joke since it opened. Do better Walmart.
0/10 I do not recommend this...

When I do call several days later to check status, it’s always the same excuse “ changes to the manufacturer”, and it will be ready in 45 mins. What does that have to do with filling script?!? This happens every time I get a new thyroid script. You have the med, so fill it!!! In other words, you won’t fill it until customer calls to check status. So...
Read moreI respectfully think that Walmart DOES NOT CARE about their employees that are on the spectrum/ AUTISTIC or have any disabilities. I have seen it with my own eyes.
