The only consistent complaint I have about life in this county is the mail service. We regularly end up with mail that has been misdelivered within our subdivision. I can now thank the mail service for getting to know many of my neighbors within a half mile radius as we inevitably all end up feeling bad and typically just end up delivering the mistakenly delivered mail to the right people instead of making them wait multiple days for it to supposedly/hopefully get corrected via the post office. Similarly, I've called the post office repeatedly over the past five+ years we've lived in our house to make it clear that the former owners of our house moved. In having contact with the previous owners, they did fill out the change of address form and have gone out of their way to try to correct everything, but we still fairly regularly get their mail. We've put our name in the box, trying to make it clear who lives here and who should receive mail at our address, but it generally is ignored. Most irritating is the unpredictability of having packages delivered via USPS. I've learned to not trust the tracking because what's said vs what's done are completely two different things. It's not uncommon for the tracking to claim that the package was delivered and a location of where it was supposedly delivered, then it doesn't show up for a day or two later, delivered by a USPS employee. It's impossible to know if somebody just lied about delivering it or if it got misdelivered before it ended up here. At the moment, I'm waiting on something that supposedly was delivered to my box yesterday, but most certainly was not.
While I understand that they work with a lot of mail and are forced to deal with the general public, the level of apathy and attitude I get from many of the people I interact with at our local post office in supervisor-type positions is just inexcusable. Many of the lower postal employees are perfectly nice people, they're just not the least bit good at their jobs. I realize that funding to the USPS probably means they're running on a skeleton staff and are overworked and underpaid, but it's becoming very clear why people avoid using the post office. If they want things to get better, they really have to become more reliable. As it is, the inconsistency is hugely...

My issue is solely with the mail delivery person that drives all over my lawn and when asked to stop she said she would be leaving my packages that are supposed to be at my front door on the curb - disrespectful. My driveway has plenty of space to turn around in OR try using reverse? Common sense.
Original Review: I am so sad to report that my five star review is now a one star review. I usually have an amazing experience with our mail lady and we often wave to each other on days I'm home as she drops off our packages/mail. The last two days I happened to be home and see that she backed very much backwards and then forwards again into our yard/lawn to turn around in our driveway. Rather than reverse and not drive over our grass. For a year I've been noticing tire tracks in our yard so I got a security camera recently (screenshots from that attached below).
The manager called after I sent in my complaint online and I was apologetic for having to complain about it but at the same time there's literally no need for it. The manager told me to stop apologizing because they know better than to do that and that it won't happen again. The next day (yesterday) I again see the same mail van back up into my yard and again pull through forward into our lawn. I sent another complain form in just for the manager to call me today and tell me he was relaying to me from the driver that my complaint will cause issues when she has heavy packages and acting as if my packages will be left at the mail box or something. This is when I had had enough. The manager tried to be polite but he should have never let her relay anything other than an "I won't do it again" or an apology. Our issues have nothing to do with her using the driveway in an appropriate manner but she will not be sloppily driving in my yard. I am attaching screenshots from day one of her doing this, as well as the second day she did it again after being told by her manager not to. I will be escalating this concern now that I am getting excuses on why she can't use reverse to back out of our driveway or walk it up from the street if...
Read moreThis is one of the worst post offices I have ever been to. Unfortunately, this is the closest PO to my business so I have to endure their terrible attitudes and customer service quite often. It’s so bad that I’ve started to drive 20 minutes out of the way to avoid this location. But today takes the cake...I needed to drop off a 1 1/4” thick box (equivalent to the size of 2 1/2 DVD cases) that I had already packaged in a medium flat rate envelope with paid postage. The package was not distorted or stretched in any way, it was neatly packaged using the factory peel and stick lip and all I needed was a receipt. Well as soon as I asked for a receipt, I was told that they could not ship it in the medium flat rate envelope because the package was not flat?!? And I was told that “flat rate means flat package”??? Which I’ve had issues with people at this location over stupid little things like this before, so I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor. Well after she was in the back talking to the manager for about 10 minutes, he came out and backed up her original position, which I quickly debunked with “Flat rate. Not flat package. If it fits (without stretching or re-constructing the envelope) it ships!”. So I completely abided by the guidelines. Now embarrassed, he quickly moved to making up new guidelines. This went on for a while with him taking long trips to the back with a supposed “conference call” to higher ups about this “1 1/4” envelope in between and finally ended with a magical, mysterious thickness bulge guideline that was completely up to his discretion and mine didn’t cut it?!? This all took place over the course of 50 minutes before I finally walked out and went to the PO down 54 where I told them about the previous encounter and was told that there was nothing wrong with my envelope. If it fits, it ships! And that they have no idea why they would have a problem with the package at the other location. So they quickly took care of me with a smile and no issue at all! Just unbelievable! So, if you want to have a pleasant day, avoid this location at all costs! Because I’m sure with them being government employees nothing will change and they’re not...
